I just discovered that the Q Logics I ordered won't work with my MB Quarts I already have. Not sure what the next step is. But I like the Dynamat in the doors. Any deadening is good deadening.
My old dash is out. The new dash is two years newer so I'll have the airbag pocket. But it has no cracks in it and the defrost screw holes aren't cracked. Switching as much over as we have from donor parts and then everything is getting hit with medium grey plastic paint. And doesn't...
Thanks @willxfs . My mirrors aren't shot, they are just a little gross looking and the surround is busted on the bottom of one of them. I'm going to retain as much dampening/gasket as I can.
Yeah I can't decide. I know I don't want a light color. I saw a dark blue lowered 2 door 2wd at Daytona when I got my dash....looked bad ass. I just have to figure out a time, she's gonna be gone at the body shop for a hot minute.
As much as this truck frustrates and flummoxes me, I can't quit her. And now I'm getting closer to having her be what I want. I have driven some absolute shitboxes, then I got suckered into leasing. After two leases, I knew I just wanted simple. And while she isn't simple she's also not like...
So the next steps are adding my kick panels, reinstalling the dash, gonna dig that a/c being through one vent at a time unless I say so. Tim (the hubby) is also going to do my front fenders, the driver's door, replace my intake manifold, my exhaust manifolds and remove my belt trim and install...
And the final pics. I haven't gotten a pic of the dash being dropped again, but I'll wander out in the front yard in the next few days. Once everything is replaced, I think she is getting painted. I'm stuck between having her done black cherry, a really deep forest green or a midnight blue.
Some more photos...I'll caption once uploaded. Couldn't resist the pic of my truck reflected in the reflection on the boat, my two favorite hobbies. Well besides hunting, brewing beer and my Big Green Egg. We did drive my Betty one time to a Lightning game, had some pregame beers in the...
Well fellas strap in, I'm going to tell you a tale, the tale of the change year model Tahoe that has tried mine and my husband's patience to no end. She has almost ended up in the road, lit on fire without even thinking of putting her out. This truck has tried my patience like no other but the...
Thanks Kelsda! I'm even more goodies done on the Ol' FrankenBetty. The hubby convinced me to get a set of Q Logic kick panels, he had a set in his Syclone and I'm gonna have some decent tunes. Actually most of my audio will be donated and from his old Syclone LOL Now some hinge pins, door...
I'll show this to the hubby. He has the dash completely out of my truck and is replacing it with a pretty mint one we scored at the swap at Turkey Rod Run in Daytona. But I'll be sure to send him these destructions and see how it goes.
My hubby and son dropped my dash tonight. Guess what is broken @east302 ? That door is broken on one side. But I'm super stoked that i'm going to have air blowing out of one set of vents only. She's starting to look good :)
Am I gonna get crucified to say I dunno??? Nah, it is shitty mounted Flowmaster system. The hubby and I agree that we like where it exits but it has so many leaks and rattles.....it is bad
Hahahha I just realIzed (well I am on pain pills) but my hubby is gonna get a text for months about how amazing every one of my fav songs is once he installs my boom boom stereo. God help that man, he puts up with me.
The rust nastiness is gone off my roof. Yeah, it isn't a pretty paint job but it means the world to me! No longer am I gonna throw the peace sign to the dude with the completely rusted out top of the roof on his 93 Black Blazer with the 454 tag thinking we got the same blemish. Nope, my Betty...
I went through 2 distributors on my 95, and that was with a new crate motor. The distributors/caps and ICMs are a pain. Also check your connectors going to your ICM. I had to replace both of mine. Getting that distributor to seat, at least on my motor, was the biggest PITA
