I paid $220, I did not get the middle jump seat/arm rest because I think you have to cut into the tunnel to fab that into place. I got grey, they match each other (currently have a tan and a grey and a red back seat LOL) and they match my interior. I know two of the mounting holes match up and...
I have ac!! It blows out of everywhere at the same time so that mode door actuator needs to be replaced but it is the one that is up by the blower motor and impossible to get to right now so I'm just going to have cold feet LOL I absolutely love my Hoe, she is the best. I also picked up some...
It's like I'm a fortune teller or something! That side of the drier by the firewall? Easiest thing to take off today! Ended up buying a new condenser, manifold lines, and a liquid line because of course, the Junkyard Hoe would just not budge!!!! Had to cut the liquid line on the condenser...
More than likely after this weekend, my husband is going to want to roll FrankenBetty in the street and light her on fire. Or he's going to be really happy. No telling!
Crap, I'm sure this is going to turn into a huge project. NOTHING on this truck goes according to plan. I saw a YT video where someone cut off part of the nut on the male side near the firewall to be able to get a good grip on it.
I got AC Delco stuff coming from Rock Auto. Needed a new compressor, orifice, dryer/accumulator and service valve. Is this going to be one of those things we are going to fight with for days? Or is it pretty straightforward? Any tips, tricks? 1995 Tahoe 2 door.
This weekend was a banner weekend for the Ol' Hoe. She had a/c! For exactly one day LOL But everything works, need to find the leak. Gonna hit it with the UV pen tonight to see where all it leaked from. But to ride around with my windows up when it was 90+ outside was awesome. But I'm not...
Well dang, what haven't I done to the ol' girl lately. Let's see. New distributor, cap & rotor and now all my weird electric gremlins and weird idle is gone. No more dancing tach! We decided to tackle the rear brakes. Put in my VIN and figure out which rear end I have according the RPO codes...
No it wasn't. It wasn't until my hubby pulled up on the connector and the truck died. By messing with it, he determined that the wires were pulled too tight further back in the harness and swapped out the harness and plug.
I just went through this. It ended up being the four wire plug in my ICM was frayed and then the distributor had a dead spot. Replaced distributor, cap, rotor, ICM and that plug and no more problems. Rock Auto had a full distributor for $68 or so.
I have been chasing an electrical gremlin and fuel/spark issue and started experiencing bucking. Turns out one of my bolts came loose from the exhaust manifold where it connects to the exhaust. My truck was sucking air and confusing the computer with the 02 sensor. Replaced that bolt and...
Ok, so this is what seems to have cured the problem. Put back in my ICM from my 95 distributor and my 95 distributor (all of my donor stuff is a 94 5.7L tbi). The hubby changed out the 4 wire connector that goes to the ICM with the donor from the 94 harness. Truck fires right up. Runs like...
Definitely have to replace that pigtail. After starting up and driving great yesterday, same thing as before happened today. So the hubby is going to get that pigtail swapped this evening and we should be in business.
I resisted from burning my Tahoe in the middle of the street. Figured out that a connector on my ICM made my truck DOA. Seems to have smoothed idle and weird hiccups
Seriously. I was like that's it, I'm selling her. Now it will be rear brakes and axle seals. I might need to let the hubby recuperate from this for a while. Every time we do something good for it, the truck is like no, I must remain a pile of crap. LOL
Well after replacing a bunch of stuff over the week, we figured it out. Thank god a buddy pulled his 94 350 tbi and let me come rob a million parts off of it. So my ICM, distributor, etc all came off the running donor and allowed us to figure out exactly what it was.
So this morning we...
