Air filters become more efficient as they fillup with dirt.
The downside, if all out performance is what you're after, is they become more restrictive.
If you want to know how the air filter is doing send in an oil sample for analysis.
Here where I live in TX not only did the state get rid of smog test that was in only the big blue cities, but I hear tale the safety inspection is going away. :waytogo: :peace::Caffeine::D

Maybe a little when transitioning on and off the throttle. Most of my Klunk was cured when I changed the frt diff mounts.

Do you have some oil consumption going on? GM came up with TSB technical servive bulletin: new improved valve covers ot the 07-08 and 09-11 engines to lessen oil consumption. Read it here...
The PVC system does take in filtered fresh air. On modern fuel injected engines the source is from downstream of the MAP sensor.
On a healthy engine there isn't much blowby volume, so a fresh air source is included in the PVC system to help increase air flow volume to carry away harmful vapors...
I just had the intake, valve covers, etc off my 2002 C5 vette last week to install a catch can and to clean things up. There isn't a air line from the airbox going to the valve covers, intake, pvc system.
If you say so, but I'm not buying it.
Every pvc system I know of uses intake vacuum to pull gasses "from" the crankcase only.
Metered leak(s) "into" the crankcase? What would be the point of that?
The evaparator may be dirty thus causing the clutch to cycle? My 07 Denali didn't come from the factory with a cabin air filter. I added one - Dorman Kit# 259-200.
