What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Interestingly the rear coolant crossover pipe isn't present in my 2012. Lol the only new VLOM I'm investing in will be one without AFM when I delete it. The foam was acutally intact, but the front piece wasn't in its place.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Had an intake manifold leak to tackle today. Sounded like a choo choo train on a cold start when the engine idled down. Lot of caked on dirt and remnants of disintegrated wire loom under the manifold. Three of the ten vlom bolts were finger tight SMH. Did an injection service yesterday in...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Per the service manual, the rivets aren’t required to be replaced. But I’m OCD. It allowed me to get it perfectly centered and the gasket didn’t budge at all during installation which was nice. My guess is that, at the factory, the oil pan is prob put on with the engine upside down. So the...

Oh and a 1/8 x 5/8 aluminum rivet works perfectly for the oil pan gasket.

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. Especially that pesky front axle.

It wasn’t too bad. Still a bit more sludge than I’d like. About 1/8 inch layer in the bottom of the pan. Maybe that’s normal at 150k. It’s been through four oil changes since I’ve had it. Each time I’ve substituted 1/2 quart of ATF in an attempt to provide some extra cleaning action since I...

So I guess when the oil pick up tube just falls out when you remove the fasteners prob means the o-ring should be replaced? Lol Replacing my oil pan gasket to address a seep that escalated into a decent leak (oil spots on the concrete) fairly quickly.

Making Yukon look a little more modern?

I’m actually working on this to add the factory boards. I’ve got the parts to build the wire harness and have the dash switch. Just need to source a set of the long body steps.

How are the aesthetics with the h/u and dash? I’ve been contemplating this. Are the vents or other controls obscured?

For the door trim, you can also look at some from the 07-14 Escalade. It’s a thin chrome strip. You can also get them bare to be paint matched.

Need opinions on which setup to go with. I’ve got the C-shaped led acting as the drl (also comes on with park lamps). Should I keep the lower bulbs as park and turn or make it like the K2XX Chevy suvs and have them only as turn signals. The side marker light would remain on the park lamp circuit.

Nice. Is this something you had or were you able to recreate it from a website?

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Ordered some led bulbs and additional headlight harnesses (didn’t search extensively, but couldn’t find just the turn signal sockets). I’ll harvest the turn signal sockets and modify its tabs to fit or the socket opening itself.

Got the wiring done so the C-shaped led acts as DRL only and also will come on with the park lamps. Just waiting on parts to convert the old drl bulb to a park/turn signal. Then need to decide to move forward with the led projector retrofit. DRL DRL + park lamps

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Rotating/cleaning the wheels/tires this morning. Found this at the passenger side UCA. Does it appear to be the OE ball joint or boot going bad? No play that I can replicate. No tear that I can see in the boot either. These appear to be the factory originals. With 150k on the clock, it may...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Just hit 150k miles and did an oil change. Looks like my weeping oil pan gasket has graduated and turned into an official leak. Found some drips on the concrete when I moved the burb. Pulled the inspection cover and it doesn’t appear to be coming from the rear main. So, do I tackle the pan...

Morimoto Bi-Xenon retrofit - Installation thread

Nicely done @RichardCranium. You’ve got me wanting to do my burb now. In fact I purchased a set of these https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MWYDSBG/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_VTQ4HC3NCPNABZTJWE07?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 headlights with the C shaped led and was going to swap in some led bulbs. Now I think...

Sorry to be so needy. I’m in the TCM special functions menu and see these options. Looking through them, I don’t see an option to reset the fluid life percentage. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
