Can someone with a 2022 Tahoe video their tilt adjust steering wheel in motion?

I've only had telescoping steering column in two vehicles, and I've been driving since 1977 and owned 65 cars. Maybe it's not really necessary? Oh...one of those required using a wrench to move the column. It didn't make any noise, either!

Can someone with a 2022 Tahoe video their tilt adjust steering wheel in motion?

My 2022 LS column is deathly silent when trying to telescope it...since it has manual tilt, and no telescoping at all. No motor to make excessive noise. I'm quite content. Good luck, it's going to be tough to get that fixed. Also, the audio level on a phone video is probably not something that...

    Supercruise owners, thoughts?

reading the extended warranty thread, it appears most folks don't mind paying a bunch for some "protection"....so yeah, we're already in bed with the mafia.

    Max trailering package question

The RPO list for 2022 Tahoe only shows 3.23 gears. https://www.gmfleetorderguide.com/NASApp/domestic/proddesc.jsp?year=2022&butID=1&regionID=1&divisionID=1&vehicleID=22304&type=0#

Anyone Purchased Extended Warranty Plan ?

They wouldn't offer it, if they weren't making money off it.

Anyone Purchased Extended Warranty Plan ?

OTOH, I still have $16k in the bank that I never used to buy extended warranties on anything over the past 30 years. That'll pay for a lot of parts for me to fix my 2022 Tahoe, if anything ever goes wonky on it. I'd rather not bet against myself. Most folks haven't figured that out yet.

    How to tell build date?

I wonder when in the process this document was printed? It was in my Tahoe when it was delivered 6/30/2022. (vin trimmed because you don't really need to know what it is)

Did you look at the fuel mileage display on the DIC? this usually works better if you reset one of the trip meters when you fill up

What options are/are not dealbreakers for you?

The only option I ordered on our LS was Max Trailering, I wanted the integrated brake controller, since I tow quite a bit. But I could have got by without it. Fortunately they didn't have any trouble delivering a Tahoe with it last summer. All the other stuff, I can do without. Paying cash...

How happy are you with your 2021/22 Tahoe/Yukon?

The cloth seats in my LS don't seem to need to be heated or cooled....hmmm.....

What did you do to your 21+ T1XX today?

Yup, I change oil pretty early on engines I put together myself (four so far this year). But there's no way I can match the cleanliness and machining precision of a modern engine factory....

What did you do to your 21+ T1XX today?

First oil change is supposed to occur about 7k or 8k miles. But some guys like to do it early, just because.

How happy are you with your 2021/22 Tahoe/Yukon?

I've had my 22 Tahoe LS for half a year. The only issues so far are one day when the radio controls stopped working, which I fixed by disconnecting the battery for a bit, and it hasn't happened again. The other is the rear window rattling when towing the Airstream, I think the air pressure at...

Those with 2023 orders and updates.

We got a new Tahoe this summer, to replace a ten year old pickup, and a 16 year old SUV. So far it's working out just fine. It tows the "race" car, and the Airstream. But we didn't need anything fancy, so we just got an LS with only the Max Tow option. Less than two months from placing order at...

Trailer battery charge AWG wire size>

Thanks for the update. My Tahoe does not have that much exposed wire, so I couldn't get a definite answer. But I'm curious how you decided it's 12 AWG, since GM has been using metric wire sizes for decades....????

Trailer battery charge AWG wire size>

My point is that not all wire of the same gauge, under all conditions, has the same rated ampacity. There is more to it that simply wire size. And GM knows this and sizes all the wires in their vehicles accordingly. If your trailer battery charging system can't tolerate the voltage drop of the...

Trailer battery charge AWG wire size>

The wiring diagram in the factory service manual should list the wire size. Let me know when you find the manual, please. I've been looking for a while, no luck. It's definitely not #8. You could pull the connector out of the truck, disassemble it, and measure the wire, then you'd know for...

Trailer battery charge AWG wire size>

Wire length affects voltage drop. The operating temperature of the wire is related to how much current it carries. The insulation of the wire has to be able to withstand the temperature increase due to higher current. So the routing of the wire, and how many wires are packed in the same space...

Trailer battery charge AWG wire size>

Wire ampacity is not quite as strict as you might think....it depends on the application, and lots of other things. One of the things I do in my spare time is mentor a high school robotics team. The competition we enter our robots in has a thick rulebook, and the specified minimum wire size for...
