Having major trouble with a dealer. Anyone have any advice on how to proceed?

took a truck in for a recall a couple months ago, I called to make the appt and asked if they had the part to complete the recall. Yes. I asked if they planned on holding the part for 4 days until my service appt since the parts were scarce. Yes. Took off work, drove 30 mins one way...

Having major trouble with a dealer. Anyone have any advice on how to proceed?

the humanity and humility comment from earlier goes both ways. dealers haven't had to work to sell a vehicle in 2 years. went a year with some dealerships adding $5k-10k market adjustments giving the salesman $2-3k commissions on selling vehicles that they used to get a flat new car commission...

    2021 Denali High Miles

If you haven't already, I'd see if you can get a GM service history report on it. If nothing else - peace of mind one way or the other. We had a 21 AT4 - bought the last day of 2020 - sold it in the spring of 22 with 45k on it. Had a lot of mickey mouse stuff keep popping up but never...

had a blazer as a rental a few weeks ago. had a terrible transmission shudder with only 30k on it.

    Purchasing nightmare

your typical guy that uses one to work will balk at the 5-7% interest even at those discounts. happy wife / happy life will keep the SUV demand high for the time being...an advantage the trucks don't have regional dealer has over 80 HDs on the lot - only discounting them $3k off...

Air ride issues in cold winters?

or do what we did - get one without it. we had a dolled up AT4 with the air ride on it and traded out of it for a "basic Z71"...would have gone back with a basic AT4 if GM would've been interested in building one

Would you wait for the 2024?

you may not have a choice at this point. believe the 2022 orders shut down sometime in mid-May last year, so if the 2023 schedule is similar and you "weren't in the system", then doubt you'll be getting one of their 2023 allocations unless you really push...which sounds like you have a case to...

    Purchasing nightmare

dealers have access to the national constraints when they receive their allocations...there used to be a random user or two on here that had a dealer willing to pass along that info...not so much these days (and I may be wrong on this) but I imagine the waiting lists aren't what they used to...

    Data Plan/OnStar Rear Entertainment Question

our 2021 worked good as well - not as good as google maps via carplay or android auto, but it was at least nice to be able to have a built-in navigation system that didn't require data. and the integration with the RSE allowing second row occupants to send destination suggestions was...well...

General Motors announces they are DROPPING Apple CarPlay:

ha - i'll bite. where in the priority list would the reasons below rank when GM is considering removing the compatibility with a service that GM receives no revenue off the end consumer using? A - Creating a better user experience B - Potential for increased subscription revenue C -...

General Motors announces they are DROPPING Apple CarPlay:

like most biased articles, facts are usually misrepresented... quotes from the article... in our 22 Ram and 23 Tahoe, we get in our vehicle at it works...don't have to pair it up every time and no plugging in it...and definitely no waiting a min or two for it to work/startup. Maybe...

General Motors announces they are DROPPING Apple CarPlay:

"creative control" = more ways to create an additional revenue stream even after the vehicle is sold you'll lose the ability to have "free" navigation that interfaces with the vehicle when carplay and android auto are phased out. I'd fully expect whatever platform they utilize to offer...

Those with 2023 orders and updates.

They seem to be the only GM model that isn't starting to stack up on lots so far. Lot of factors go into that but with them being primarily a "family mover", those that can afford them will continue to buy without pushing for discounts because....well, just because they can. The guy that has a...

    Purchasing nightmare

selling Yukons? as long as they can sell them at MSRP - doubt it. everything else - yes Yukons look to be the only model they aren't discounting right now. Even the HDs are being discounted...sure they have about half their HD inventory listed at sticker, but the other half is $5-6k or more off

    Ordered a 2023 GMC Yukon

depends.... biggest factor is acceptance by GM and will be your biggest hurdle (if it's not already been accepted). GM allows dealers to place orders even though they don't have a current allocation so "initial" orders can linger for a while especially if there is a unique option on the order...

Those with 2023 orders and updates.

that'd probably be Everett GMC...one of, if not the largest, in the nation. odd that it went by rail to West Memphis since Little Rock is only 5hrs from Dallas, it's usually a truck ride straight from the factory. Travel I30 enough and you'll see plenty of car haulers loaded down with...

    Extended Warranty

think the unknown factor that is unique to your situation is how many miles you generally put on a vehicle in a year....5k - 15k - 40k?

Those with 2023 orders and updates.

credit union is probably your best bet. Some will still be in the 5% range give or take a quarter or two either way. Employee credit unions are where you'll see the best rates. or find an institution offering a "special" rate... this credit union was offering 3.45% for 60-72 months and ended...

    2024 Tahoe Refresh design (unofficial)

Help with ordering and figuring allocation

it'd be tough to put down $1k on an order that may never get built. sure they may have some exceptions in the policy but I agree with the post above as only being willing to put down the deposit once it's accepted. If they are saying 6-16 weeks...what happens at week 18 and it hasn't been...

    On-Star costs

probably never used onstar but how would you feel if the speed limit sign quit displaying? Not sure if the 21 -22 - 23s all have the same apps that depend on internet access so probably depends on what you own as far as which apps won't work properly once the plan expires. We personally just...
