I've had good luck with Hankook IPikes that are studded. Also good luck with Nokian's that are not studded. Any brand/model snow tire will be like years better than regular all season's. I prefer the studded type - weather you have studs or not as i think they wear longer/better than the super...
I have a ram truck - did 20% professional over the factory 20%, wanted it darker so did another 20% myself. It's extremely dark now. You cant see out the back at all at night. 5% over the back 20% = .2*.05= .01 = 1% visible light transmission. It'll be too dark. I dont mind it for my back truck...
I'm assuming by your name you are in NE. Which dealer did you consult with? Maybe go to the big dealer - Woodhouse, Sid Dillon? maybe have a quicker turnaround?
I see no reason to get a diesel unless you tow heavy things all the time or have altitude to work against you. Otherwise, you'll never recoop costs because diesel is so much more expensive. It's over $1.2 a gallon more in Rural Iowa. Add in DEF and more oil for oil changes and issues with sub...
Can you explain these numbers? I have both a Yukon XL SLT on order and a Suburban RST on order - waiting for which one will be picked up first. Both having max towing.
What is the bottom RST constraint? The performance package?
As said before - iron remover will get most of it out. Clay bar will pull everything off the paint. Since it's that bad - dawn dish soap it - that will pull any grease or wax. Then hit it with the iron remover - wash and rinse very well with car soap - you want it extremely clean before clay...

Hell, I live in Northern Iowa and my wife's explorer isn't even 4wd.
Front wheel drive and some studded snow tires is all anyone needs. If i lived in Florida, I would PREFER a 2wd vehicle. Only problem you would have is yes - boat ramps but you have that figured out it sounds like.
The GV80 is not the same class as a Yukon. More similar is size to an Acadia or Buick Enclave. It's just smaller.
I'd be looking at Lexus - GX or LX. Or wait for new Toyota Sequoia, Nissan Armada, Infiniti QX80, Jeep Grand Wagoneer, etc
Resurrecting this thread. I've always thought - repeal the tint laws, and make a new law that requires lowering of all windows when you get pulled over
Thats the thing - it's not! haha. Maybe in India or Mexico or some obscure part of the world. But definitely not on a 2022 $70K rig in the US. The more i think about it and search google - the more I'm amazed at it's existence.
