Hey I’m debating between 5% and 20% ceramic tint to put over the factory tinted back windows. I’m just worried the 5% will be a little dark at night. Does anyone have any pictures of how dark either 5 or 20 ceramic tint is on the inside? Thanks I’m advance.

Cameras automatically adjust the exposure to ambient light, so what you see in a photo is not representing very well what your eyes will experience.

Best bet is to go to a reputable tint shop and see some examples in person.

Putting 20% over the factory tint in the rear is equal to roughly 5% depending on the film. You won't be seeing much out of that. I have 40% 3M Crystalline over the factory tint in the back and wish I had done 50%. My front doors are 20% and the whole windshield is 50%.

I got 5% all around and 35% on my front windshield. It’s pretty dark at night

I have a ram truck - did 20% professional over the factory 20%, wanted it darker so did another 20% myself. It's extremely dark now. You cant see out the back at all at night. 5% over the back 20% = .2*.05= .01 = 1% visible light transmission. It'll be too dark. I dont mind it for my back truck window but for a suv, i think it would be too dark.

The 2011 Denali I used to have had 20% all around except for the windshield. That made the back 5 windows about 5%, which was great during the day, but really sucked at night. If it didn't have the backup camera I wouldn't be able to see anything behind me unless it was lighted.

2 layers of 15% on the sides and 50% on front. Not a 2007 -2014 but gives you a tint idea
