Decided against a 2/4 drop after lots of research- who wishes they had not dropped?

A lot of people do a half ass incomplete job and do not take into account clearance and bump stops and shock travel. Those are the people that regret it typically. If you leave the factory bump stops in place in the rear, or If you do not correct shock geometry with a 4" drop you are going to...

New pads and rotors, rear brakes grinding now

A buddy of mine did that once! I was showing him how to do his brakes... this was in our teens. I did one side, he did the other and he put the inside pad on backwards.

Volt Meter drops below 14 on a new Tahoe

my gmt400 with an overdriven ad244 upgrade even does it. I never see it below 13 or so though. I'm sure its a more rudimentary deal than whats on the newer trucks, but it has a signal wire that reads battery/system voltage and varies the load on the alt.

How much will I have to trim?

Ignoring the offset those are barely bigger than stock. I wouldnt stress.

How much will I have to trim?

Throw inner fender liner in trash. Hit pinch welds with 10lb sledge until palms bleed. Cut 6" out of fenders and it shouldn't rub.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I feel like it needs another hanger. Heimholtz resonators work thats why oems use em. I didnt see previous posts as to why or how it was designed on your truck whats the deets? Looks good. Stoked it eliminated your drone.

    Sound deadening/ general system build

The stuff I got is self adhesive, but some spray adhesive works, or self adhesive velcro, and contact cement to adhere pieces of MLV to itself. The MLV being "limp" is actually part of how it works effectively. So you use a foam to decouple it. Some people just throw it down on the floor pan and...

    Sound deadening/ general system build

CLD tiles, CCF, and MLV isnt crazy expensive, especially not compared to some of the mods you've done! It can get very time consuming though. If you can source MLV locally you can save a lot of dough. I work in construction and came up with a big roll of MLV for free. Its heavy so shipping...

BG Products dynamic engine cleaner....snake oil?

IIRC this is not really available to the public. John Ross seems to think it works pretty good, and he isnt trying to sell it to anybody.

finally decided to replace the burnt out fog. ( did replace them both, but this pic shows the comparison) Matches color temp with headlights and switchbacks much closer. Not a huge difference in output compared to 899s. Didnt take it on the road to compare unfortunately. Went with these...

Best rear springs for 4-5" drop carrying huge stereo

Sounds underdamped and/or undersprung. Probably why you liked cut stock springs better than aftermarket springs which are not really built to have a bunch of weight on them. Cut springs have a higher spring rate than uncut springs. I ran z78/tow springs cut down on my denali with air ride delete...

Going synthetic on 2004 z71 tahoe? Leaks and oil change computer

I run full synthetic in all my vehicles. Never had trouble. 20+ year old trucks will leak eventually. On my Esky I change whenever the DIC recommends it, the oil and filters I run are good for 10k, but I wouldnt ever go that long. I spend way less money and time (fumoto drain valves are great!)...
