    Tint suggestion/opinions

20% on the windshield? Wow thats pretty dark. I was considering like 70% or so, which even that little amount it technically illegal here.

What did you do to your OBS GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Painted my rusty roof. Wire brushed the rust. Hit with rust converter primer then sanded and painted with rustoleum turbo. Better than rust! Hopefully looks decent in the sunlight.

Yeah trans cooler is a necessity imo. The coolant is always arpund 200 so without a trans cooler thats pretty much best case scenario for you

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Replaced all lights and fuel level stepper motor successfully. Trans temp is giving me hell... always maxed out. Gonna have to take it apart again.

AC problem .. no pressure on gauges

You need to replace the accumulator/drier since it had air in it. Should replace orifice tube too.

It appears that x27.168 stepper motors are the upgrade. Can get a kit around $20. Guess I am giving it a shot.

Nice deal. Probably some of both. Pad compound can make a big difference. Bonus is it looks so much better too. Even behind my stock 20's the oem rotors seemed TINY. With a bigger wheel it looks comical. The NNBS front brakes just looks right.

My Escalade gauge cluster is finally dying. PRNDL and all backlights are dim, and several gauges are erratic. Trans temp and gas gauge in particular had me concerned. Thankfully the "miles until empty" still works so my wife shouldnt get stranded with no fuel. What is everyone using for...

Wife hates my new 2006 Yukon XL Denali

06's do not come with cabin filter. Likely will have to retrofit. Easy job. That being said clean it out in there. Could be a bunch of pine needles and leaves and what not

    Rotor / Pad Recommendations?

While were on the subject of what to replace @ 170k, I'd be looking real closely @ the brake hoses too. Stainless steel ones are not much more expensive than quality rubber ones FYI.

    Rotor / Pad Recommendations?

At 170k i'd either rebuild or replace imho. Cheap insurance.

Take a look at DOT edge codes for brake pads. Sometimes hard to find, but will tell you a lot about performance without all the marketing wank. http://faculty.ccbcmd.edu/~smacadof/DOTPadCodes.htm GG pads are out there. Lol oh jeez i just posted this same info yesterday... dont mind me.

97 tahoe LT super low air flow from vents

Duct seals bad? They are foam and become dust over time iirc. Could be leaking air and losing pressure.

    How much A/C freon

If the system has a leak the drier needs replaced. Pour the oil out of the accumulater/drier and measure the volume and replace that amount. Replacing orifice tube does not require oil. My 94 rcsb takes about 2 cans. Fill until your pressures are correct though, dont guess. Get a set of gauges.

    Rotor / Pad Recommendations?

Look @ semi metallics then. More initial bite. More noise/dust potential though. Look @ brake pad edge codes. http://faculty.ccbcmd.edu/~smacadof/DOTPadCodes.htm

Akebono doesn't get enough love. They are the OEM manufacturer for quite a few different makes.

    Charged AC not blowing cold

Not sure what reading you should see @ the clutch switch. The clutch not engaging is definitely a problem. If a new switch and/or paperclip have not solved it I would suspect the clutch. Keep in mind I am far from an expert on this. I assume one will chime in here shortly.

No I don't, just curious about what your plan is. I am sure that there are things that would benefit from that.
