My first reaction was the same, but it really depends on your terrain and how you may use it. If you never need clearance there's still plenty of benefit to 4WD or AWD in certain situations you may run into.
About 20 years ago my wife moved out to Cali for a bit. She told me how much she was making (nice!) then told me her living expenses. I asked her what her second job was.
New truck looks great.
Except me. I turned around the day to track down someone who passed me in a great looking GMT400 2 door 4wd Tahoe. I was prepared to offer cash on the spot. Couldn't find them. Dammit.
My daughter told me last night that she's too old for me to tuck her in at night (she's 15 so I had a good run). I'm still in shock and haven't accepted it yet. Tahoe looks great, man.
I don't think the rendering is bad. Just very unique. Either way it would have to have a ridiculous amount of power and launch capability to ever gain traction (no pun intended) with buyers. And at that cost you may as well get a real sports car.
I'm impressed. Well done. No way I'd have tried this. That looks like WAY more work than I'd be willing to put in. When I had my Tahoe I threw some of that premium $30 shag on top of the dash.
That sentiment is very common on a lot of automotive forums. Some dealers are fantastic. Others set the standard for the term "stealership" by overcharging while simultaneously being incompetent.
They probably do, but as was explained to me by the GM of another brand's dealership, a lot of dealership owners sell third party warranties because there's more money in it than selling the actual manufacturer's warranty. Perhaps some truth to that since when I called around to compare prices...
I happen to love black vehicles. Have had a few and have one now. But...I also love washing, waxing, and doing paint correction. That said, I'm close to moving on to something besides black (or white).
Feel free to post some pics. I know...easy enough to go online and look at whatever you like, but it's different when it's a forum member's.
I'll go first. My most recent was taking off work today and started drinking at noon. Now I have things I need to do and I can't because...well...drinking.
You can't move the door with the same force as the truck moving down the road can. But, to test it, you can put some electrical tape around the door latch (on the interior door jamb) and see if it stops that noise. Then you'll know that's what needs adjusted.
Researching pipe bombs on someone else's computer.
Seriously, that's way too long. Someone above said parts may be back ordered, but that's still an excessive amount of time unless there's a super secret part that's hand made in Wakanda out of vibranium.
I would:
Get them to give you the part...
2015. Be sure and let us know once it mushroom clouds on you.
Ha...just kidding. Looks great and glad you like it. The 2015+ body style is (to me) by far the best. Loved the way they looked from the start.
Actually, just yesterday I was poking around Autotrader to see what pre-99's might be out there for shits and giggles. I so badly miss my '96 two door 4WD. I wake up every morning and punch my sack for getting rid of it. Seems that finding one up to my standards in this area for a reasonable...
I'm in no danger of winning the edible arrangement, so I'll just add absolutely nothing to this other than a free bump and say that when I do revisit buying another Tahoe, it will not be a '15.
I'm afraid I need this one decoded for me as to what exactly took place.
The OP got in the passing lane...
Drove slowly...
held up traffic...
Am I right so far? Is this something normal people do? And why?
I have a tendency to totally ignore my phone when driving which probably affects how I feel about CP. And my tiny little 9 minute work commutes don't help. I'm sure if I drove more I'd be all over it.
