Clunk seems to be coming from front drivers side suspension. Like I said, nothing looks bent or broken, doesn't look suspiciously worn out. @iamdub is 100% right - these trucks, particularly if you have a 706 or 862 number on the head like this: are known to develop a slow coolant leak into the cylinder head. So I have an issue with my TC ever since my motor swap. I don't recall this ever being a problem with my 5.3L. When I had the 6.0L swapped in, my ECU was reprogrammed by the rebuilder with what I was told was a 6.0L stock Escalade tune. Since I got it back, if I lose traction for any reason...- tRidiot

Z71 roof rack?
I dunno - I just went back and looked at my Ebay history, the auction said "00 tahoe roof rack complete 5.7 z/71 4x4". And it doesn't fit. Possibly listed incorrectly, yes. The page is gone now. I got shafted, cost me about $150, that's what I know. -

About 280k miles - no suspension work that I know of unless it was done prior to my purchase with 80k in 2009. I think I replaced a bearing once a number of years ago. I took it to a tire/shop a couple of months ago, they recommended $1500 worth of front end work. That was only for I think 3...- tRidiot

I replaced my windshield a couple years ago, I was supremely happy with the change - then last Feb with aa major hard freeze I got up one morning to a big crack going about 1/3 of the way up the window. Ticks me off, I gotta get that replaced, too. <sigh>- tRidiot
