After i got the lights up Saturday morning it was time to start tear down of my center console/lower dash. (Fair warning for the mess of shit I had while working on it.) Never taken the front part of my center console out before, it was a pain in the ass and after getting it out I realized I...

So since I’m terrible at updating this on time most of the time here is a update lol. Saturday was productive. Got rid of the shitty fluorescent tube lights in my garage that burnt out and got some led ones off Amazon. My dad used these same ones in his shop and they have been working great...

in all honesty it’s garage kept, I only drive it on the weekends now, annnndddd pictures make my paint look better than it is in person hahaha I mainly wanted it for one reason which I will post about after replying to these lol. That console you have I’d say is cleaner than mine judging from...

Started messing with the esky center console yesterday. Holy crap I didn’t realize how much wiring and shit was in there. Stripping electrical tape off 20 yr old wiring is also really fun when the adhesive turns into slime on everything. Regardless got the cd changer swapped out with the metra...

Don’t make me come to Alaska :flipthebird: And I’m gonna have to order that! I’ll look into it now. I did find a way to wire up the secondary info center. Apparently it’s pretty common for people to do in 99-02 Silverado’s. Still gonna get the pocket just in case I decide not to though

Alright. Smoke is gone finally! and time to update. Just got back from DTP racewars in Wapato, WA. Pretty cool show. A little smaller for sound comp wise but lots of racing, car limbo, and lots....I mean lots of 2 step  4hr drive each way though so we stayed in Yakima close to the track...

yeah it turns out I got lucky when we took that trip. Wildfires are taking over here in Oregon now. Haha it’s not as bad as you’d think on your ears. The door speakers with the highs hurt the ears more. Fires, smoke, and wind has rolled in. Ash is everywhere around here, people are being...

Went on a nice little cruise up the mountain range toward the coast. Grabbed some pictures during that turned out pretty decent for phone pics. Was wishing I had a good dlsr with me though.

It’s not bad. I’m used to it though and have lots of friends with insanely loud walled rigs so it isn’t super impressive to me anymore haha

@05Single said it exactly right. If you can solder small areas it’s not super hard. Watch a how to on YouTube. Very easy to take them apart though and bench test them
