Back to working on this. I'm working to startup a custom fab engineering business. May have landed first customer. However, I have to get back up to speed. Been spending last week reviving this bluetooth project and studying my old skillset.
My breadboarded project can do stereo audio sink from...
I think my next step is to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I think perhaps with an aftermarket pump I'll need one of those regardless. I did one on my LT1 built years ago and was a piece of cake, cause if memory serves me right it was inline with the fuel line just before the rail...
Makes since on brakes lights. The top light is a different harness. I think runs through roof.
The bottom runs through wire bundle by driver frame member. It is brought out to a harness by the spare tire Ali believe and then up. I could be wrong... But at least is in this general area.
After...
Oh super cool. I didn't think to check what the big block pump was.
I also had a friend who built the trucks for GM recommend a different pressure regulator.
I like the line theory but nearly certain I have no blockage.
Helpful to know... I suppose I could replace the lines, however,I took them all apart and blew them out. Couldn't find any restrictions, kinks, etc.
Not sure, maybe, blowing compressed air through them wasn't very conclusive?
I feel ya @diezelraccoon I rebuilt my factory head unit cause I like the factory look! Plus nothing fits better than factory. I tried an aftermarket setup in my truck and threw it all away, minus speakers. Didn't like idea of custom mounting amps.
Since you get the hissing the pre-amp / volume...
Hissing kind of makes since amp is on its own circuit / fuse (powered separate from head unit).
You say as you turn knob the hissing intensity changes but you don't get an output from head unit otherwise?
Done.. I don't recall the readings but voltage was correct... However current wes not for advertised load. If memory serves me correctly it was lower than spec'd and also lower than diagnostic procedure from delphi.
I have a second computer. I could plug it in and see if it will work better. Might be worth a try. Thanks!
This latest tank of gas is dropping fast, like I suspect a leak but cannot find one. I need to double check AFR with the wideband.
Backstory, my most resent saga is... I had dialled in VE...
I returned mine starting from LM7 baseline to LQ9 using HPT. It will run otherwise. But will run much better with an appropriate tune.
You can segment swap motor stuff from a LQ9 engine as well. I however started and tuned on my own.
Hey thanks man. That's a good idea. Thanks for the links. Some of them spec the fuel pump flow! Very helpful. It appears I may need around 127 LPH for 400 HP which my engine should be give or take a bit...
Gallons Per Hour = (maxHP x BSFC) / 6
BSFC is Brake Specific Fuel Consumption ~ 0.4 to...
Delphi gave me a phone number to call after a couple emails with tech support but I really don't think they know what's going on. I'm on pump #2 and both have same symptoms. The OEM replacement pump is low on fuel pressure. I have another post here where my Key On Ignition Off pressure is...
I have a brand new fuel pump assembly and sending unit. Pump motor is garbage. I've decided I'll swap in a good aftermarket pump from AEM, Holley or another reputable brand. However, I don't have the dimensions of the basket or pump itself to know which motor will fit. I called AEM and they...
I figured it out. I was tuning and set the minimum tcc pwm to same value as tcc maximum pwm. Both set to 100% duty cycle in attempt to disable tcc partial apply. The computer couldn't figure out how to handle that so it just disabled tcc all together.
I need to figure out how to best tune the...
I am on a road trip and got DTC P0741 TCC stuck off. I have a bidirectional scan tool with me. I can command the TCC on just fine but for some odd reason the computer will not turn it on itself. Any ideas gas mileage is horrendous without the torque convert clutch locking up.
Thanks!
These are diagrams and connector pinouts for my 2001. Yours maybe different. The schematics are for several different options. Hopefully at least one of them applies. You could go to junkyard and cut off the connector ends.
I like to REPIN versus solder and or crimp lines then. I have a...
This is lovely... So first off fuel pressure it a good 10% too low. Working with Delphi to get it sorted out, pump is brand new warranty replacement. No electrical faults, no injector faults, brand new pressure regulator, and certain no line set issues (blew lines out with compressed air...
There are vacuum lines on tank that run up to the intake manifold through a carbon canister. If there are leaks it may trip a check engine light. The gas cap is just one part of the evap system.
I am experiencing something similar. Was this ever figured out? My rear breaks are HOT and fronts like I hardly even used them. I have yet to take apart the parking brake. It's the disk brake setup.
They fit they stock 17" GMT800 or GMT900 rims. I forget aspects off my head for those wheels. Ut basically stock 17" rims.
So far I love them. They may ride a touch nicer but highly subjective seat of pants thing.
So far zero issues. I drove nearly 1000 miles on them. No rubbing either. But I...
With a truck as new as yours... hrm, it's a little early for compressor to fail so I'd be a little skeptical too but can happen.
I'd think a pressure gauge set would be helpful to diagnose a weak compressor. You'll not get good pressure on the high side (it'll be low). Do you have rear air? If...
