    2004 Tahoe W/ Bose & Onstar

Total for the radio and all this was about $433 delivered. This kept my Bose intact (mine works and I like the sound just fine), allowed steering wheel controls to work, added backup cam with nice display on new radio head unit, Android Auto/Apple Car Play (wired), BT audio (streaming, NAV...

    2004 Tahoe W/ Bose & Onstar

I really liked being able to keep steering wheel controls. I got the module with the radio I bought from Crutchfield. I opted for the module, plus having them make up the "Ready Harness" so I did did nothing for new wiring. Plug and play. Was installed and running in less than an hour. The...

    Timken Front Wheel Hub 4wd

I recently got two of NAPA's BEST hub assemblies. Normally $212 They are 20% off = $170 I got mine for about $155 (I may have had rewards bucks applied...). These are actually made by SKF with matched sensors installed. https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BRGBR930304?impressionRank=1 Excellent...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Worth a shot! Cheap and easy enough to check on. I was just surprised at what my Jeep was doing. Had the pump not died, I might have been chasing electrical tails forever or continuing to ignore until something surfaced as the cause for the misfire. Good luck! Keep us posted. Even if this...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

This might need to move to Engine topic, so others will find it and maybe get some help from what is discovered. That said, how do the wires and connectors leading to the coil look? If all are good, then there is a chance the misfire could be related to an injector or the wires/connectors to...

    Broken cargo cover

Gotcha... Please don't think I was trying to be a wise guy or snarky in my reply. I was just thinking back to times I tried fixing things that were not designed as being serviceable as projects that didn't go as planned. Usually ended up in the trash when there was no permanent or long term...

    Valley Pan Torque...Help!

I am wondering if there is any sequence on the Valley Pan torque... I did not see any when I Googled. The torque is pretty light... 18 lb ft is not exactly cranked on there that tight. Possible there is no sequence? Others will tell you more than I can on dealing with the Valley Pan torque.

Looking for OEM Bose NAV/head unit for 2005 Tahoe

I have not done it, but I don't think there is anything extra (subscription, etc.) for that kind of programming. I know they can program other critical systems modules, which from what I have seen, is built-in capability of the Tech 2. I am not anywhere close to being Tech 2 expert yet. Still...

Looking for OEM Bose NAV/head unit for 2005 Tahoe

I liked XM OK, but not when the looped through music I did not like. Streaming, BT hands-free calling, Android Auto/Apple Car Play capabilities and being able to see and hear NAV directions was most important to me. I just couldn't get that easily or cheaply by keeping the factory radio unit...

Poor man's rear camera alternative, an exterior mirror ...

My Boss Audio has a dedicated 12V PWR wire off the back of the head unit. I wired my backup cam to that feed, which powers the camera when in reverse, but also feed power anytime the radio is on, so I can turn on the camera at any time.

Looking for OEM Bose NAV/head unit for 2005 Tahoe

That is something to consider. You would need a Tech 2, a friend close by with a Tech 2 or some other bi-directional scan tool to program the VIN to the factory radio.

    Broken cargo cover

I am thinking that there might be some kind of plastic retainer clip inside that holds the end of the spring in place. With age and use, I am betting there is some little chunk of plastic snapped off inside. Metal spring could have failed, but my money would be on something plastic failing...

Looking for OEM Bose NAV/head unit for 2005 Tahoe

I have one... I pulled out of my 04 Tahoe a few months ago. Sirius XM/Bose receiver. I did not have the CD for NAV, so I never tested that, but the rest worked fine. I only replaced it because I really needed BT hands-free calling, backup cam and really wanted to stream from Spotify or Amazon...

    Water Leak Under Transmission

Odds were in favor of the heater T's. Much easier fix than a heater core! Pretty cheap too. Members have said that rotating the T while pressing in on the lock tabs will hold the tabs in and allow you to slip the T off. I did not know that when mine snapped at the hose. I snipped at the the...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Welcome from Western MA! Unlike other car/truck/SUV owner groups I have been with, people with bad attitudes and negativity don't seem to be here. You'll find out quickly, the folks on this forum are helpful, respectful and friendly! I am sure you'll fit right in...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I could live with the PRNDL and do that myself, but LED swap just seems a bit more than I would want to tackle. I currently have a bulb or two out, but they are not in critical locations. I have been ignoring for a while.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

For you or for me? If for you... No charge for cluster already having one. $99 to add one that didn't exist. If for me... My Z71 has a transmission temp, so that would be included.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I see cluster repairs are on sale now... Basically, you can get $30 LED upgrade included for the same price as the regular price with standard bulbs. Not a bad deal at all!!! I could solder the PRNDL myself, but not sure I want to bother with swapping out LEDs. For $179 on a cluster rebuild, new...

    Rear end oil change

OK. I am always learning! I was under the wrong impression, that the mechanical pawl system was something that eliminated use of any clutch. I have learned the G80 does not use any limited slip additive. I mistakenly thought it was because of the mechanical nature of the pawl setup GM used...
