    Voltmeter reading

Oh, great. Had and still have real bad pass, start blowing on cold, as the result. I figured, it should drop voltage when there is no request for it, but what do I know.. Thank you

    Voltmeter reading

Driving to work yesterday am, towards the last about 15 min of driving, noticed, that V meter needle dropped below 14. Connected Torque and is showed current oscillating between 12.7-13V. OK, so panicking a bit, connect Torque on the way home - voltage sits at 14.7-15 across the entire commute...

07 Tahoe/Oil leak in the front

So just came back from about 40 mile drive+30min idling, patching son's Tesla tire. Said - dye is good, cardboard is better. Had it under for about 30 min. Nothing. Prestine. To be honest, that's quite phenomenal for a car with 170K on it. So can coolant leave an oil looking stain on wet...

07 Tahoe/Oil leak in the front

OK, nothing. Which is good news per se. Front main seal is not leaking. Found no leaks on anything else in the front. Just regular dirty underbelly. The ONLY fluid I found is about 1/4'' drop of coolant under the expansion canister, right about in the middle. Can't really get my hand under...

07 Tahoe/Oil leak in the front

I got dye into oil and PS fluid, just in case. I'll get it up on the lift tomorrow am, while it's still dark, and scope everything. Whatever I can see or shine light at from the top, is bone dry.

07 Tahoe/Oil leak in the front

I have a strange oil leak 07 Tahoe, 5.3L, 4WD, 170K. I know, the answer is - find out where it leaks from but, maybe there's some previous knowledge on this. Tahoe will drip a silver dollar sized oil stain ONLY when sitting on the incline, nose up, and after drive. Leak is approximately where...

3 rca outputs with a Radio with only 2 rca outputs

I see. Kinda pointless, considering I have no "screen" in the rear.

3 rca outputs with a Radio with only 2 rca outputs

Reviving old thread, sorry. So what exactly are the rear RCA jacks for? My Tahoe does not have DVD. Just trying to find some easy way to connect sub, without tearing center console to get to Bose sub lines.

Here's a short video of its operation. Probably, about 10% of functions available. You can hear how clunky buttons are.. Anyhow. It does the job. Some of the bidirectional features work. Some not. For example, I could not remote start air compressor through the scanner. I'd sum it up this...

Yes, and that error code only points at lack of contact - somewhere. The rest is go figure. It's gone.

Ones, that came with Dorman struts looked IDENTICAL to OEM ones. Yet..... Who knows. Damn electronic gremlins...

Sure. I'll re run it later today after commute. It did read ECM, trannie, body, ABS, steering, even door locks. It's cheap and clunky, but works. Honestly, I likely should have gone for Autel. We scanned my Tahoe Monday with one at buddy's shop, much nicer. Oh well, Amazon is Amazon - pack it...

Auburn WA. Could not figure, how to update my profile on cell. I got me Foxtell NT 530 scanner. Just tried it. Reads 28 systems, seems to be - all codes. There's a bunch of stuff else it can read, I didn't dive into it in depth. $180 after tax.

reprograming onboard computer with new shocks

And the trophy goes to...... Drumbeat!!!!!!! Geotrash! After I replaced - and cleaned and lubricated - the mentioned connectors on the struts rods, with the ones, taken from the OE struts - after 2 days of commute, message is gone. I'd say, it is safe to say - all good.

reprograming onboard computer with new shocks

I see. Well, out of desperation, I even just replaced the new ones that came witht he new struts with the OEM ones from the old struts. Cleaned them with MAF cleaner and greased with DE grease. Tomorrow will show.

Not to mention that vehicle starts and drives just fine. Struts feel very good. Kinda like driving my old MGM. Mercury Grand Marquis.

I'll try buddie's scanner tomorrow and if not, I have $81 refund coming into Amazon Tuesday and will get that Foxtell. I went through user manual, they do have BCM listed in scannable modules. It'll come handy in the future anyway.

Yeah.. That interface itself is 3 diagnostics at dealer... Now, miser's question. What do you think of this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014CT4M3K/ref=ewc_pr_img_1?smid=A2YWURTSRUAKKQ&psc=1 As that's something I can buy and reuse.

I know. So - yes, it's like one I posted... I do mostly OK with 2 scanners I have... I thought, there is, like Toyota Techstream, a subscription download and a cable, that allows you to hook up laptop to OBD and read codes.
