I need to read body (?) codes on my 07 Tahoe. Apparently, I need a Tech2 for it and am considering a 3 day subscription. Have "service suspension system" message
As it's 3 days, use of bust, here's my questions:
1. will OBD Bluetooth adapter suffice or I need cable? If cable - any cable, OBD to PC? Or it somehow has to be GM specific cable?
2. ACDelco site says Windows 10 Pro required. I have Windows 10 Home. No go?
I don't really want to pay $64 just to find out that it is not connecting or OS is not compatible, ya know....
So what do I need to make it work?

You just need the Tech-2, the subscription is for programming.

What he said^^^. You’ll be able to do diagnostics, read codes, clear them , read live data etc. Only time you need a subscription is if you’re going to program modules aka changing out the body controller etc.

Well, didn't make me any smarter. How do I get Tech2 and what do I need to make it work/connected on laptop. I literally just need to read body code.

Ok, first time sure. The Tech2 is the diagnostic tool used by the dealerships on these trucks and it’s a one time purchase that you can use forever. If you work on your vehicle yourself it can save thousands over the years. If you just want to read body codes one time, you don’t need to buy one.

I know. So - yes, it's like one I posted...
I do mostly OK with 2 scanners I have...
I thought, there is, like Toyota Techstream, a subscription download and a cable, that allows you to hook up laptop to OBD and read codes.

That's Tech2Win (emulates the Tech 2 on a computer) and you'd still need an interface, J2534, for the passthrough.
