How high without driveshaft for autotrac?

Raw, You definitely need the front driveshaft RCX offers. You can use your own, but you will eventually get a nasty vibration (it gets worse w/speed) and parts will fail prematurely. I also have a '99 Tahoe and I'm running the RCX lift (my build thread)-...

    '99 Tahoe - Expedition Build!

I guess it's finally time to post photos of my custom console! This console was originally designed for '12 Police Tahoe, but after speaking with the engineer, is was customized to fit my truck. We went through the CAD designs, took a lot of measurements and after a few weeks of waiting, this...

x4 Blizzak Tires + OEM Rims - Nearly Brand New (Nj)

$650 for the set Blizzak (245/75R16) With my upgrade to larger tires last year, I now have no need for a nearly brand new set of Blizzaks (245/75R16). I bought these Blizzaks last year in the early part of the year and only had them on the truck for 1 month!! With very little snow, I took...

    '99 Tahoe - Expedition Build!

Some photos of the Rubicon Trail @ Lake Tahoe!! This trail is amazing for anyone willing to attempt it. For a fullsize rig, I recommend 35's and at least a rear locker or LSD...plus tons of body armor. The entire trail is loaded with small through large boulders and for us big guys, it's slow...

Check out page 70 of Petersen's 4 Wheel...

I didn't read the article, but IIRC he set up his dual transfer cases so he can select 4x4, Rear Wheel or Front Wheel Drive. It also helps if you want to run a really low crawl rate. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm running out the door and didn't have a chance to go through the article.

Just Found (2) 2 Door Tahoe's On Ebay...

Check it out in person...if you can get it for 5k or less and everything is in decent shape, that's a good find. The last year of the 2dr's, they go for ok $$ when everything works on 'em

1/2t PS pump + Master Cylinder - NJ

FREE Both are OEM AC Delco w/100k on them - came off my '99 Tahoe - worked perfectly!! I took both the Power Steering Pump and Master Cylinder off when I did the hydro conversion. It's someone's lucky day if they can come pick them up in NJ by Saturday.

    '99 Tahoe - Expedition Build!

Apologies for the long delay, here are some updated details and photos for everyone. After Nevada, we arrived in Cali and the great little town of Chester. We were blown away by all the little things to do here - fishing, hiking, hot springs, etc. Luckily, there was a network of logging roads...

'99 Tahoe - LOTS of parts for sale

I'm built up my '99 Tahoe 4dr 4x4 (OBS) and have a number of parts that are in good working order to excellent condition that are being swapped out. This was a highway truck when these parts were installed and was never abused. Everything is stored in NJ, but I travel regularly to Boston MA and...

will this work and is it a good deal?

sorry to hear they sold. I'm a big believer in calling the manufacturer these days if I'm not sure...if you find a smart guy at these companies, they can usually give you definite answers. Don - sent you a PM.

Cold Air Intake tips.(hope this helps)

Check out what Wake wrote on page 3 - IMHO, very accurate assessment. You should be good Maduro, but just make sure you have the patience to take the K&N air filter out around every 3.5k miles (or whatever they recommend) and are willing to clean and oil it. Also, when you oil these filters...

    Ford Keys Help

+1 Relocators are ONLY for trucks with suspension lifts...and tend to be used by the guys that wheel alot to increase their ground clearance post front diff. The relocators simply "relocate" the torsion bars back to their stock location. When Chevy folks complete susp lifts on their rigs...

    '99 Tahoe - Expedition Build!

We decided to move quickly through Nevada, except for staying x2 days in Reno. In Reno this was the first time we grabbed a hotel room...our thoughts, when are we ever coming back here?? While doing research on the area, we did not come across too much info on great spots to wheel and...

    '99 Tahoe - Expedition Build!

Thanks Matt! If you're going to wheel a lot, I think you'll love the 2dr version you're currently looking for. I agree, it's hard to beat that hard charging V8 going up a hill. I love my 4dr, but the breakover angle test my patience at times with the tbars hanging down low and having such a...
