Yeah I guess the only way I even noticed this was because 99.9% of the time I've got air coming out of the dash vents toward me. If the windshield starts to fog up, I'll usually the press the button so the fan location goes up to the windshield in addition to the dash by pressing this button...
I agree with you assessment in that with two or three turned on, they'll be weaker overall, however, with them all turned on for example, the only one that really seems weak is the dash vents. The floor and defrost vents sound like air is really flowing while putting your hand in front of the...
Thanks for checking on your own vehicle. I may be confused, but I think there was some confusion with my wording in the original post. When I said "forward facing" vents, I meant these:
So when those are enabled along with either the defrost (not max defrost) or feet vents, the forward-facing...
Sorry, didn't know what else to call them and wasn't sure of the technical name. But these:
If I have those vents enabled along with either the upward windshield and/or feet enabled, the forward facing vents hardly blow any air out at all even at full speed fan.
That's weird. Mine were factory from Chevy and they definitely didn't look like that. Mine were the sticky adhesive version and did not work out at all.
Anyone else seeing this too? The airflow in the forward facing vents is very strong especially at full speed. However if the dash and or floor airflow is turned on, the forward facing vents barely blow any air at all. I get that it’d likely slow down given the air redistribution but to be slowed...
I didn’t get my mats from the dealer as they were back ordered and no ETA on when they’d be in. So I bought mats from here and they are great and fit perfectly: https://www.roughcountry.com/
I started a thread on this and recently posted the fix. Don’t put Velcro with adhesive on the back of the third row carpet. Just use the hook side of the Velcro on the back of the all weather mats and they stick right to the carpet. Mine has been stuck for weeks now with no issues. This was...
My guess is that it may lead to some stringy carpet on the back of the third row when/if the mats are removed. But, I don't think it'd be any worse (would have to be better actually) than if I were able to actually get the velcro adhesive to stick. If the adhesive stuck to the carpet and was...
If you figure that out, let me know. I've tried all kinds of different velcro and nothing sticks to that "carpet". It's not nearly as long as the carpet on the back of the third row so the method above doesn't work either. Currently, I just have that cargo mat sliding around back there, but it's...
That's correct. The rough "hook" side of the velcro is stuck to the back of the mats and nothing is stuck to the back of the third row seats. The mats just stick to the carpet on the back of the third row.
Ok, I think I've found the fix.
I've not had a chance to test this yet but I noticed after cleaning my wife's vehicle that she has mats stuck to the back of her third row and they've been in place for years without fail. To my surprise, she has NO velcro stuck to the back of the third row...
This is what my concern is too. I really don't want to damage the carpet and if that's the case, then I might as well just opt for the clip method that I've seen earlier in this thread where you drill holes and put the snap pins into the backs of the third row
Thanks! Just to be clear, I’m talking about this happening with the “auto” setting off and just using manual control.
Thank you. I’m not using the auto temp feature though but maybe it still does this regardless?
Kentucky here. Went from 90 and humid to 50s in the morning and not humid. Lol
I've got a 22 Tahoe and up to this point, it's been warm out since I purchased it new. I typically leave the AC on about 72 degrees and it's plenty cold enough (surprisingly cold actually). Then, the first cold morning we had a week or so ago where it was like 50 degrees I noticed when I got in...
I've known about this recall for a month or so. Had my vehicle in for other issues and while they said they were aware of the recall, they didn't have a fix yet. Then I started getting notifications on the infotainment system that I needed to bring it in and they still said no fix. Now I got a...
Just took a 650 mile trip (one way) and watched this closer. To start off the trip I filled up the tank (and reset the trip meters prior to filling up). After fill up it said I had about 360 miles to empty. Ideally given tank size and estimated MPG, it should be more than 360. That said, again I...
I think they're just saying that you would have a piece of velcro stuck to the mat itself and then you'd have a piece of velcro stuck to the carpet backside of the third row. Place that tape on the back of the sticky side of the velcro that would ideally stick to the carpet side of the third row...
Well, it took a month, but the 60 side of my 60/40 split third row finally failed and came off. Every piece of velcro that was stuck to the carpet backing of the third row stopped sticking so I'm back to the drawing board. Thinking about trying some double-sided carpet tape now maybe.
Interesting. Thanks for the insight.
So given that, it would seem that it does calculate based on recent driving pattern like others have stated. I'm about to go on a 600 or so mile trip. So we'll see what happens. I'll be sure to reset my trip odometer prior to leaving and then later during...
I assumed so, but reading the replies makes me believe otherwise. I guess in my mind, if I'm filling up the tank completely, then based on the mileage per gallon the vehicle should be getting it should display roughly the same mileage until empty each fill up. Big given that it seems like it's...
Will do. Not sure I’ll be able to figure this one out. I guess next time I’m due for service I can take a technician to the tank and fill it up. The first time I drove my 22 table off the lot with a full tank it was nearly 500 miles to empty if I recall correctly. Now, I fill up and it doesn’t...
Guess I'll mess around with it and see. Since noticing this, mine hasn't updated after 10-15 miles but could be based on the trip. I'll reset next time and see
