Looking to buy a work truck. Need expert assistance.

Most high mileage suvs will have oil leaks. With the exception of the rear main seal, all oil leaks are easy to fix. I would not be afraid of buying a high milage suv with oil leaks as long as the oil pressure is good. Low oil pressure could be bad, bad bearings. Most oil leaks are from the...

Advice on purchasing a used 2003 with 100k miles

It's hard to believe that it has 100k miles. Look at the interior wear and post some pictures. I would pass with that type of rust damage.

2005 5.3 Tahoe running rough/stalling only when hot

Did you torque the spark plugs? I would remove and inspect the plugs, one might have cracked and might be causing the issue. Also do as the other member suggested spray the air intake where it meets the block with carburetor cleaner.

Would you keep your existing truck or get a new one in this situation?

If you don't mind taking a loss, I would move on a get a new one. The extended warranty is not going to bring you back all the headaches and the worries you have been dealing with. I have lemon law 3 vehicles in the last 10yrs and never looked back. The last one I lemon was my 2022 Tundra w...

Front AC not blowing cold rear AC blows cold wtf

I forgot to follow up on this issue back in 2017, I ended up replacing the actuator on top of the dash and the one by the passenger side floor board behind the center console. That fix the issue and the suv has been good so far.

Front AC not blowing cold rear AC blows cold wtf

How old is the compressor? Have you tested the system for leaks? If the compressor is new or in good shape, the next item I would replace would be the accumulator. Alot of times the accumulator gets overlooked and that's the culprit .

2018 Denali acts weird in rain?

This sounds to me like hydroplaneing with bad shocks. The rear shocks could be causing front to back motion. Have those shocks checked out.

2018 Denali acts weird in rain?

How many miles are on the SUV? Are the sway bar bushings good? Are the control arm bushings is good shape? When was the last time it was aligned? An alignment and suspension inspection will tell you if there are worn out parts. I would look into these items first.

2008 Yuke - AC blows hot on driver side, cold on passenger side - Dealership says problem cannot be solved?

Sounds like the AC module is bad then. The module sends the command to the actuator. Like others have said. Do you have a tech 2 to diagnose the problem. These AC systems are basic and should be easy to diagnose. I can't believe the dealer could not fix the issue.

Did the dealer replace the hvac actuator that is not working properly or did they just reset it?

21’ Tahoe Tranny Fluid Flush vs Tranny fluid change and change filter

I have never done a tranny flush, I always go with the total change out including the filter and have been never experienced transmission failures on any of my vehicles. Oil pan secondary valve

I remember reading the thread you where you talked about the lifter tray fiasco. @Gilla Did you block off the towers in the lifter galley during the modifications? If not, those will puke oil constantly, resulting in low flow. There's a modified plate with o-rings that go on every tower, and...
