Selling stock amp (bose, non LUX version). Still in use, no issues. Currently only powering rear speakers. Asking 120 shipped. Willing to sell with stock bose sub (big box packaging) for 160 shipped for combo.
Right, thats what I was thinking but when I look at the bracket in mine (i'll hopefully take a look again in the near future), the space for the amp is minimal. I was hoping the Escalade had a different bracket to hold a bigger amp. Could be the same though.
I think its good that you keep bumping this as I just seen this for the first time today. As someone that had to replace both, was happy to see this but the price difference is significant and I can understand why. Most people replacing this would need a quick disconnect adapter to remove...
Interesting...so the bose lux trucks dont have brackets? What do those 3 screws you have connect to? I was really hoping to use whatever you used but I'm heavy armed lol and dont know if I'll be happy with no bracket....
When you open your arm rest and take the storage compartment stuff out, there should be 4 screws (or holes?). I think those were the same 4 we have been talking about in this thread. Are they screwed down to anything? On my LT Tahoe with only Bose (not LUX), they screw down to a metal bracket...
Right, when you unbolt those 4 screws, there is a silver metal bracket underneath the console but on top of the amp. You would have to remove that bracket just to get that view of the amp you have. The bracket is what keeps the arm rest/compartment section from wiggling so much. If you have...
You covered the cracks but what will cover that ugly dash? :) J/K but everyone has different tastes and some may not like those aftermarket dashes.
Sounds a bit hypocritical that you rather spend $$ elsewhere yet you spent money to 'improve' that look. I rather be perfectly flawed in that area...
That definitely looks longer than mine. Any pictures of the bracket that sits on top of the amp? Same bracket that bolts to the center console/arm rest area?
Definitely cant wait to see how that looks/sounds
There are some things in the middle that may make it difficult for an easy install. There is this area seperating where stock amp (mine atleast) and the stock sub. Wires, and it thins out and....just not as easy of a space to use but I'm still a rookie so you probably will have no issues...
Kenwood, Pioneer and pretty much every market double din can do all that as Doubeleive mentioned. Just the lane change wont work. You can hook up 2 cameras with most of these units but none will alert you by itself and you'll normally want one of those cameras for the rear.
As far as...
I used TruConnect 0 gauge amp kit with no issues. Used a grommet ofcourse. After removing wheel well, you can see a layer where it looks a little easier to drill. I just wanted to make sure the hole wouldnt hurt anything inside the car but also wanted to avoid passenger from feeling cable...
Thats good to know. Anyone know if next gen bench and/or driver/passenger seat will fit? How about the arm rest which i hear has wireless charging, is that a direct fit on the NNBS?
Regarding the center console, there is enough ventilation to run an amp. If you take out the stock subwoofer (really only way you will fit anything descent down there), you can fit an amp or 2 depending on sizes. I installed a PPI 900.4 down there which is on the smaller side of amps and have...
As newer generations come out, we sometimes have the opportunity to use parts they improved on to make our trucks better. Can we make a list of what can be interchanged? I'm not looking for anything that requires super custom work (unless worth it).
Currently, I only know RIMS/TIRES can be...
Like many others on here, I had the problem on one pump (up to 3-4 times clicking off on its own) and then wont have that problem again for weeks. I thought some pumps were just more sensitive than others. If this was truly a problem, wouldnt it get worst over time. These gaps of...
Unless the car wash was done with hood open, I dont see how it could be related, referring to title of thread? When driving in the rain, wont you get similar wetness? The only area for water to get into the engine bay is through the grille and that is far from the A/C parts.
All NNBS (07-13) have the extra tray I believe, but the PPV are already wired for a second battery, I think? I believe suspension, mounts and electronics are modified on the PPV. They never have a 3rd row either I think and I'm guessing always bench in the second.
Those areas of concern you brought up are where I was going to recommend looking first starting with negative cable.
Some of these trucks, I believe the PPV versions (police versions) had dual batteries so the extra tray (open area) is for that if you wanted.
Great suggestions. OP only wanted something to stream the music and didnt show resistance against using phone for everything. The expensive ones allow you to use more of the radio interface/steering wheel to control music.
