I purchased off Amazon. I kind of hope they are aftermarket now so I have a reason to get OEM but I think these are OEM. LInk below. I dont know anything that could be contributing especially since the passenger side is still fine and the H3's were fine up until a month ago when I added a pvc...
My H3's had no vibrations and felt amazing but failed in a year (under 20k miles). I dont race nor do i have any serious performance features. I have reached my final point of frustration being on my 3rd mount in less than 90k miles. Ordered some solid mounts and will do my best to do a...
Question, for other cars I changed the lines more for the feeling than reliability of the rubber lines breaking or leaking. Are you guys changing them for the feel or preventative measures. I'm very happy with my braking currently but curious why you guys are going SS.
Question, I see SOLID and POLY motor mounts on their website? Which one should I go with? I have no plans of heavy performance modding. I already see SOLID causes a little more noise and vibration. What would POLY do and assuming its less vibration, would it be better than the H3 or at this...
I normally change out the pan fluid, let car start and run for a little so things get mixed. Go through all the gears, then change out the fluid again. You will see the fluid may still be a little dark after just changing pan fluid. You can get something that takes the fluid out from the same...
I have went through 3 mounts in 4 years (roughly 85k miles) and MANY of those miles were with bad mounts. I refuse to go OEM again. This is not exactly the easiest install being AWD. I'm ready to take the chance.
I honestly have no idea. I have no performance mods besides intake. Looks like they are currently $205
Only issue I assume is more vibrations at idle?

Purchased June 2019.

I recently fixed a bad misfire and put in a custom intake. I definitely have been doing more WOT runs at idle recently for testing purposes. I put less than 25k miles on these...
I purchased H3 Motor mount June 2019 and seems to have went bad. I wonder what all the boosted and high performance trucks are using. I ordered this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010GPIUBO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Did some more investigating and see 2 concerns:
1) DRIVER MOTOR MOUNT is bad again, WTF, i changed for an H3 Hummer mount :(. Going to try to find how many miles i put on it since...this is ridiculous. This why I didnt even think of mount....
2) I lifted car so both front wheels in the air...
Front diff? I'm thinking around 30-50k miles but the transfer case was done under 20k miles ago. I rarely ride in AWD or even Auto. I normally drive in 2WD and thats how i'm driving in the video.
Would bad axle or transfer case make that sound no matter when you accelerate? If so, maybe we can eliminate because it doesnt happen when truck is already moving at a descent speed.
I just replaced with a Hummer H3 mount on driver side few months ago. I dont see the engine jumping but will do the motor mount tests. Regarding exhaust, you think the exhaust is moving? I'm glad you not even thinking axle or suspension.
Few things I discovered.
1) Sound only comes from driver side no matter what angle I accelerate at
2) It sounds more like a RUB and vibration rather than a grind
3) May still be hard to hear in video but you can hear how car is a little louder in the begining of the acceleration. Accelerations...
After listening again, its not really a grind you would hear form a bearing. Its more like a rub and as you floor it, it keeps the sound until a certain speed, it goes away. It was hard for me to hear it in the video though. Its like a rub of some sort, not a grind. Almost like springs are...
while moving, it doesnt make the sound if you WOT. It only happens when you start from a still or very slow pace then go kind of hard or harder. I'll try to get it on video.
I'm sure its either my shocks or axle. Any suggestions on how to test to differentiate which? It seems to come from only driver front or both front sides. Truck too big and i think these shocks too advanced to do the bounce test.
