I'm sure you have bought new tires at some time and if you have, they do anything to change in the way vehicle drives in 2WD. I don't have as many miles on mine and still have same tires which aren't great in stability, but they are getting worn.
You should just be able to take four nuts off seat cushion and take it off look in and see what you have and as always unhook battery first. Then you can hook up to trouble shoot.

I know on 2002 driver's seat cushion there are four nuts to take off seat cushion to lift it unhook wires and its out then look at system to see if you can fique something out. And as always unhook battery!
Well, I wouldn't mess with foam seat cover won't fit correctly, you could pull seat out and see if seat brackets can be altered, I'm sure body shop could fabricate something.
Check serpentine belt then take it off to see if all pulleys (AC.Power steering, etc,) to see if there is binding also check tensioner to see if operating properly which if it isn't the belt is not going to be tight.
Like been said there is small slot that can be seen on left side of removable panel a screwdriver with electrical tape on end will remove cover or like been stated plastic trim tools but that small slot on left side is your helper to keep from marking paint. I would try before a have to case...
