I had my battery disconnected for most of the day yesterday while I removed the seats to do a thorough shampoo of the carpets. Upon reconnecting it and going for a drive, I noticed my transmission shifting a decent amount later than usual for the 1-2 shift, as well as some slight hunting for...
Here’s an interesting update: I just got my build sheet back from GM and on there it says Garnet Red Metallic. So now I’m even more confused [emoji2369]
I'm really confused. Trying to get some touch up paint for my truck. Searching around google and google images has led me to believe my color is called "Garnet Red Metallic" and is fairly common across GM. However, the RPO color code from the sticker in the glovebox is 526F which is apparently...
I keep finding conflicting information. Do we have chips/transponders in the keys? I'd like to get a couple cut and not sure if I need to order chipped blanks or not.
Just got my Denali a few weeks ago and noticed something strange happening. About 40% of the time when I put the key in, the memory seats and mirrors change and the DIC comes up as Driver 2. I’ve only ever used the one key and fob so I’m stumped why it keeps randomly changing. Any ideas?
What is the diameter of the outlet on the stock 6.0 exhaust? I measured the circumference at about 10” which gave me about 3.18” but that sounds odd. I have the plain old ugly exhaust pipe and I’d like to get a nice chrome Escalade style oval tip.
Ah yeah... I've been on the hunt for a good condition hood for awhile now. Never found a clean one. If you ever decide to change those wheels, let me know. I need the center caps lol.
Great color! I have a 2000 Suburban with the same. Protect that hood... that color is super prone to sun damage. Denali wheels too, nice. Did you put those on?
Has anyone found a good easily accessible power source to tap into that is controlled by the ignition? Every fuse I’ve tried is hot constantly. I wish the cigarette lighters were switched and not hot all the time.
Any suggestions for a red Yukon? Can't think of anything fitting or clever. My red truck is Clifford, so I can't take that :Big Laugh:
Edit: it’s a he lol
You shouldn't have to dig too deeply to track the wires. If you pull off that panel that this mystery plug is attached to, you will probably trace it to the BCM which is directly below the steering column just above the air vent for the floor.
Evaporator clogged maybe? See link below. You'll have to cut a small opening into this box under the dash where there used to be a cabin air filter in the 2000-2002 models. Evaporator is right next to it. While you're doing it you could install the retrofit kit too...
It looks like one of those cheesy alarm systems that uses a chip on one of those casino player's card bungee cord lanyards. I remember seeing these as a kid. You had to reach down and insert the chip every time before you started the engine.
