P0894 Transmission Code 05 Tahoe Z71
I have an 05' Z71 4x4 Tahoe with 134K and since I have bought it if I drive it over 90 minutes it the transmission will go into limp mode and shift firm and it will show a P0894 code(transmission components slipping). Now it will do it after about 20-30 minutes of driving. I feel no slipping...- Huckster

Replacing Cloth Seats
I put newer leather seats in my 01' 2500HD. I spliced the harness with like color wires for the power and lumber. Never messed with the heat and memory. Im sure its not too difficult to get the heat to work by wiring in a switch. Get a wiring diagram and it should be pretty easy. -

2005 Tahoe Z71 Fuel Gauge Wacky
So my fuel gauge on my 2005 Tahoe Z71 has been acting up going to Empty and low fuel light coming on. It would vary with each restart. I replaced the fuel level sending unit in the tank and same thing. With the old unit it would not set the check engine light but the new one does. It is code... -

6.0 egine swap????
I just did a 6.0 swap in my 2004 Tahoe Z71. Very easy. Used a 6.0 out of a 2003 Chevy 2500 Van. Keep your intake as you will reuse that. Replace the knock sensors under the intake while you are there. Cheap and easy. You will have to reuse your flex plate. If the 6.0 has a spacer behind...- Huckster
