I want to replace the cloth seats from my 2004 Tahoe; they are awful. I was going to just add leather covers to my seats, but I can get leather seats with power lumbar and seat heaters for the same price or less. I specifically want the lumbar. Are the seats interchangeable between a 2002 and a 2004? Is the wiring the same? Do the seats feel the same, or are the newer model seats more comfortable?

I'm replacing my carpet and wanted to change the seats at the same time and I've found some within 100 miles of me on CL.

I saw a thread somewhere on here stating they will bolt in and you can get the power functions to work, but the memory seat, and heating are run off the CAN BUSS on the 03-06, and won't play with the 00-02. I'm not sure how the heat systems work on the 00-02s but if it's stand alone and you got all the controls/related parts could surly be made to work...

I put newer leather seats in my 01' 2500HD. I spliced the harness with like color wires for the power and lumber. Never messed with the heat and memory. Im sure its not too difficult to get the heat to work by wiring in a switch. Get a wiring diagram and it should be pretty easy.
