Echoing this
Putting thick 20w50 oils in this is..... Ridiculous. There is literally no data to support running oil that thick in this application. What do you expect a high mileage additive to do?
Where are you getting this information? Can you back this up in any way?
I don't mean to sound...
I missed the most important number on my odometer and I'm upset
I looked down... And forgot to take a picture of 180085. I let the BOOBS slip through my fingers, man :(
Also figured out I'm terrible at eyeballing weight. Was hauling a bunch of firewood. Uhh..... The 'hoe really doesn't much...
Knock insurance down to a reasonable minimum for the value of vehicles in your area
Or, entertain the idea of per-day as-needed insurance. I know those exist, though I have neither experience nor input on providers
For 3k.... The thing's worth more in utility than anything else. Burban has a...
I just walked over to the back shop and pulled one of the techs aside. Did it on his lunch break. Slipped him 60 bucks for his time because the service writer / booking area wanted like $350 for it.
Vet nailed the checks
If all of those come back good, couple more bits to check:
- Rear bushings. Those are pretty straight forward to look at. For the 4 control arms: Shove a pry bar between the mount and the control arm and give it some grunt. See if it moves. It shouldn't.
- For the track...
I just shoved these in my housing. Bright enough to see in full dark

Confirming it's hanging up on the shifter bracket?
I've always just reached up there with a ratchet and disconnected the thing altogether. It's 3 torx bolts iirc. Don't remember the size. It's blind, but easy to do by feel.
Shouldn't need to do much else. I've never had to fuss w/ the exhaust...
Lets isolate and chop the system in half.
Grab a multi meter, and lets look at the starter relay.
1. See if the signal gets power when you turn the key. I don't remember if it's switched power, or switched ground. Will be easy to check. Switched power = 0v on pin 86, energizes when start. Pin...
Right on
Expect to hear back from dealer tomorrow
Depending on how much they want for it... I'm curious where that information is stored, and if grabbing a replacement unit is feasible. But that would only work if it comes w/ the updated range
Oookay
Update
So, it seems to be over-ranging when set to outside-air. Which swings the door towards the interior against some plastic grating.
If I stick my fingers in there and stop the door from ranging all the way, it works fine.
If I remove my fingers and allow it to go to to...
Got the actuator in
Pulled the fuse for the calibration
Watched the door close to outside air
Aaaaaand recirc still doesn't work
I'm sorry but what the ****?
Honestly I managed to get it out after just walking away and looking back at it
Ducts have just enough give that I can push them out of the way with my hand and get to everything I needed
Getting the new one in, however.... I'm in f-it-break-things territory right now. Always feels like it's...
Gents I could use another set of eyes
I'm at a bit of an impasse where it's not clear what my next step is. Looks like I should be able to scoot the vent tubes out of the way and get all the access I need, but those are held in place by basically the rest of the dash. Needs to clear the right...
