Great to hear the truck is still running strong without that issue. The plastic connector snapping off has nothing to do with servicing the cooling system. More so to do with a cheap design from the factory. My fix has been working since changing it a few years back. I also did the fix with the...
That gruven part is expensive and very innovative yet the problem lies mostly on the compressed oem clamp end only. For less work and a permanent fix this vid shows a better solution I think. And use your existing plastic Y fitting don’t buy another.

I used two metal clamps with the screw once my heater core came loose. Doesn’t make sense to replace it with the same junk. You can cut off the quick connect and still have enough slack with the hose to affix the clamps.

Was that the issue? I had a minor oil leak on my truck since I owned it lol. I have new valve cover gaskets but haven’t changed them yet. I’m thinking the oil pan gasket is the issue. My esky is a 2008 with only 99k miles.

Thx for the quick responses. My dilemma now is removing the bolts and hoping they don’t break inside. As oppose to leaving it and zip tie the wires away from it.

This piece rusted off on the passenger side. I’m not sure what it’s called. The driver side cover still seems to be intact. Is it an emergency to replace right away?

I had a constant leak on the driver side floor bed before I narrowed it down. When you open the driver door make sure the tubing on both ends with the wires inside are flushed into the frame of the door and the opposite side as well.

Yup my problem continues as well. I have the Big3 and two bs batteries from Autozone. The negative wire was also rerouted to the engine block. I will upgrade to two yellow tops soon.

Yup defaulting to 74. I’m gonna pull out the unit and check the connections in the back because I have a lot of wires back there after my double din upgrade install.

Well the past couple days the temp hasn’t reset with key on and off no matter the time frame. So it does it sporadically

It resets. Just say I have it set for 90 for just the driver side. I go to the store and come back the gauge resets to 74 for each side and the AC snowflake is engaged.

I noticed more times than a few that my HVAC would reset upon turning the ignition off and on within a 5 min span. The display would act as if the battery died showing both the digital driver and passenger temp on.
