TYF Infant here, looking for fun ideas to add to my 06 Suburban

Seems like you dig the blacked look. Maybe get some black vinyl wrap material and black out your bumpers. Also remove the badge on the rear hatch.

    Suburban vs Tahoe fitment info.

Both of those trucks would have a 4L60E. It's possible that a lower mileage unit would be the right one to run, but the duty each one saw would also be a factor; as in a 150k trans of crusing duty would probably be better than a 100k trans that performed regular towing duty. G80 is the code...

    Custom exhaust questions

Other members in here spoke for me about flowmaster's droning; they're notorious for it. Thanks guys. It's the chambered/baffled/wingplated design. They're good at muffling out the high pitch exhaust notes, but not great at preventing drone at sustained cruising RPM from about 1500 to 3000...

Fair enough. What are the shops that can mandrel bend quoting? More or less than the catback kit you linked?

Rear firing lights in roof rack

They're slick, but not factory. That's someone's custom handiwork. I'll be setting mine up that way eventually. There are a few threads on here about this setup.

Z71 Step Bar/Trim fastener ID help

Thanks for posting, 915. The image shows the bracket as #8. The bolt #7 holds the bracket onto the inside of the rocker panel. I have those bolts; they're panhead style torx bolts about 1.5 inches long. #9 in the image is a little piece of plate material with two bolts welded through it...

Z71 Step Bar/Trim fastener ID help

I'm trying to remount brackets, trim and step bars on my 2003 Z71 Suburban. It looks like I may be missing some fasteners. Hopefully someone can post a part number or spec for them. There are two holes in the bracket that line up with two holes in the underside of the rocker pan. What...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

About $30 from fleece's website including USPS 2 day priority mail. Then after I ordered, I saw it on amazon for $16 and change.

    10 sec quarter mile Escalade

Call me when he gets the thing tuned and leaving right. I bet he will get kicked off the track for running faster than his cage cert. That's a bad ass machine for sure.

There was internet chatter a few years ago of rebadging that ute and marketing in the US as a pontiac or bowtie elky. Too bad they didn't.

Replaced the bose sub with a 8" rockville

The sub used to be on the driver side in the cargo area, but I think they moved it to the driver console after the 2002 model year.

07 Suburban BTR Stage 4 Truck cam idle

Haha that's awesome. I like it for the throaty lumpy rumpity rhythm and deep tone, but also because it's not what you expect coming from the tail of a longroof grocery getter.

That's what they used to do. Think Chevelle/Cutlass/LeMans/Skylark.

Not sure, but I'd hope they figured that more than they did the fact that "No va" means "doesn't go" in Spanish.

Yes, a Pontiac Ventura. Interesting factoid about that GM body platform. Nova Omega Ventura Apollo See what I did there?

Cheap Lift for 1999 Chevy Tahoe 4WD

No torsion bar key in existence can preload the torsion bars (lift the front of the truck) any more than the OEM factory keys can. The OEM factory keys can be turned until the control arms hit the stops.
