    Lowered 4x4 2 door finished

I dont see why not. You cant use the leaf springs from a 2 door in a 4 door, but you can use the diff from a 2 door in a 4 door. That should mean the mounting situation is the same between the two as far as the axle saddles and such.

    Lowered 4x4 2 door finished

I used a 98 or 97 or whatever silverado flip kit with no notch, but will be installing a slamair rear helper bag kit soon. It's too low in the rear by about a half inch, and also smacks axle fairly easy. I know it will be perfect with the helper bags. As for the ride it's a little bouncy right...

Interesting they hired a predator as a test driver. His knowledge of tech must be useful.

    Lowered 4x4 2 door finished

Thanks man. I threw all the beer cans away for scale. So here is my nnbs with a 4.5/7 looking tall. Ladies and gentlemen.. dont be scared for a slammed 4x4. They are great for not only road conditions, but planting big power. Been running dropped everything 4x4 since 2001.

    Lowered 4x4 2 door finished

Never taken proper pics of the 99 Tahoe until today, so here y'all go. It's a 4x4 with a rear belltech truck flip kit which works perfect for anyone reading this, you just can't use the notch so order without. In Canada I was looking at 500 bucks for a 2 door hoe flip kit, and I bought a 98...

    4x4- 4 door flip questions -

I used a 98 Silverado flip on my 99 Tahoe because it was half price and works the same. If you get a notch it's totally different, but the flip hardware worked perfectly for me. It's a 4x4 as well so it should work the same for you.

    Denali front shaft temp removal?

I have a dyno jet 2 wheel drive dyno and need to street tune awd trucks. You can't pull the front shaft, it's a fact.

Hot negative battery post and no power

If your negative cable is hot when dead, your ground isnt working properly and is creating a crazy resistance. A friend of mine was helping me get my turbo Silverado ready one spring. The battery was toast so he threw in a new one, but hopped onto helping me with something else before...

Any thoughts for water pump upgrade for gen iv 6.2 yukon

Sorry, 750 foot pounds and 250 hp at 2500. Lol

Any thoughts for water pump upgrade for gen iv 6.2 yukon

Yeah man. Its air flow. I dont even know the guy, but I know his stroker screw/roots combo will take his engine water temp up to operating temp within two blocks from stone cold. When you make 800 hp, you make way more everywhere. Good points were brought up about water pump rpm, but I have seen...

Any thoughts for water pump upgrade for gen iv 6.2 yukon

The guys engine is worth more than your piece Tahoe and unreal piece motorhome combined. I bet his tranny is worth more than both combined.. but your tripple radiator and ten fan system is sure to help.

You have been a great help for the original poster with your posts of your rig for no reason. Go brag start your own brag post.

One more thought. You said you are running a vvt cam, what are the specs on it? Is the tune running stock vvt retard values or is it adjusted for the differing timing events of an aftermarket cam? I have seen vvt engines running big cams and stock phasing numbers with screw/roots type...

Any thoughts for water pump upgrade for gen iv 6.2 yukon

He already upgraded the rad. Its isnt overheating in stop and go traffic, it is overheating at hwy speeds under load. It is an air flow issue. A front mounted pusher fans system would actually cause more cooling issues at hwy speeds than having no fans up front because it isnt a low speed...

Yeah, and it has like a third the hp and thus a third the heat energy to remove as the original posters rig.

Oil pickup tube o ring change

Yep. They are orings.. a far superior seal to any silicone. I still see old time mechanics all the time backing up orings with sealant. You are only hurting things if the oring is still healthy. Like you said, a few little beads in the joints, and that's it. If the oring has flattened, torn, or...

Oil pickup tube o ring change

I only take the pan out if it needs a pan gasket. If it's all dry, just loosen off all the pan bolts and plastic wedge the front of the pan down a bit to access the pickup tube bolt, pile in a rag into the opening incase you drop the bolt, then lay a magnet below the bolt and try really hard to...

Any thoughts for water pump upgrade for gen iv 6.2 yukon

Once you go stroker and supercharged it creates so much more heat energy it becomes hard to keep it under control while loaded. I have been through it many times on corvettes where even with aftermarket dewitts radiators and engine oil coolers, once under load, you can watch both temps climb...

    Tahoe Totaled..today heavy vandalism

It isnt just the deep scratches setting the possibility of it being old damage covered up.. look at the paint around it.. looks just like every other neglected vehicle I have seen with paint like that. Looks like someone washed the thing with 500 grit sand paper. It isnt scratches on nice paint...

Or maybe the old owner banged some skank with bedazzled Jeans against it? Lots of possibilities.

    Tahoe Totaled..today heavy vandalism

That entire paint looks like an old farm truck or some work truck that took years of paint scratches from various things. Or someone that used to wash it with a brush when covered in mud or something. As has already been suggested, could very well be the layer of black wax coming off after a...

    Problems after dod delete

I am over 2500 ls engines tuned both street and on my dyno, and another 1500 for other brands. We will figure this out i promise. Just need to step back and think straight. Its easy to get upside down trouble shooting, but there is simply no such things as car ghosts. Its there. We will get this.

    Problems after dod delete

Cool. If you can duplicate the issue with the old Map, do a key on, non engine running scan, and load the raw voltage pid for both the map and maf signal. I will pull up a same operating system and check base voltages as well as idle voltages. That will be the quickest way to see if we are...
