    2005 Crown Victoria P71 Build

Actually, that statement would be unfair to Helen Keller. I've seen guys who do work like that make lots of money because they hyper themselves all the time. If the bag had gone off, it might have tripped both front bags. The drivers side always goes. The passenger only if someone is in the...

I hate to be a wet blanket, but tinting the windshield and front windows is illegal in most states. Yes, the police do it, but who's going to write them a ticket? I peeled the tint off my '98 P71 as it was difficult to see out at night.

    New (to me) truck

I'm not much into chrome anyway. Chrome don't get you home. I did find a black one (for less money) that might go on if I try to sell it to kids. The truck needs a LOT of work before I get to that point.

    New (to me) truck

Municipal vehicles may have low miles, but are definitely used. You can buy a fire truck for instance thta may just have 19,000 miles. The engine will need a rebuild as it sits and pumps water for hours on end.

    New (to me) truck

The dash is the same as my 2000 Escalade was. I'm not sure what's missing. I haven't had a chance to head to the bone yard for a replacement. I may do something custom. It's a straight solid truck with very little rust. Somebody just beat the snot out of it and didn't keep up on maintenance.

    New (to me) truck

This guy has a bunch of old iron. He's had this on CL for quite some time now. I've tried contacting him a couple of times on it, but never heard back. He has other stuff that is way over priced. https://carbondale.craigslist.org/bar/d/nason-wd-ton-service-truck/7296673286.html

    New (to me) truck

I swear, you guys would gripe if they hanged you with a new itchy rope. Decent light when I got home so I snapped some shots. I washed it when I got home and cleaned about 50 pounds of junk and mud off and out of it. The tailgate is off for repair to the latch and the bed liner is out as I don't...

I'm just a tease. I also don't think about my phone as a camera much. I'll get some when I get home from work.

    New (to me) truck

I brought a new project home yesterday. This is the first chance I've had to take things off and go over it. The throw out bearing is definitely shot. Possibly the transmission, then again, maybe not. For what I paid, I can replace the unit if need be. It's 1995 GMC C1500. 305, 5 speed manual...

I've never seen one of the these

Well, it certainly looks different. It also looks like it's owned by a jerk. You can bet they don't need handicap parking.

I'll bet it was an administrative car. Like the Police Chief or similar. Detectives sometimes beat their cars more inside than unit cars. When I was a volunteer officer, I knew a guy at the county garage that would let me know when an administrative car got retired. I got mostly LTD's but we got...

    Vehicle Shipping Companies

I work in logistics and most loads are brokered. I'd stay with a company that does show cars. Especially for a fairly new and expensive vehicle. I've heard of Roadrunner and others but can't think of the names off hand.

    NV3500 transmission oil.

I getting ready to buy another pickup. The transmission has a bunch of leaks and has been run dry so I may swap another one in. What lubricant does that thing use. All I can find is "use GM lubricant or equivalent". The guy who has it has 2 gallons on 85-90 oil to go with the truck along with a...

    Engine swap

I have a chance to get a 2007 Cadillac SRX for cheap. A few hundred bucks. The engine is locked up. Otherwise, it's in pretty good shape. What engines can I drop in there. I know the 3.6 can be swapped with a 4.6. Any other engines? Maybe an LS? I don't know if it's 4X4 or not. I know on 4 wheel...

Generally unit cars don't have it locally, but EVERY car for a K-9 officer has it. They can roll the back windows down (dog guards on the doors) and let the a/c run to keep it cool for the dog. The windows down are for if the car stalls.

Someone may want one of these

There is one really religious dealer around here that will say "God Bless". Otherwise, I've seen a LOT of scammers say that to rip you off. I'm looking for one now and when I find him, he's going to jail.

    Drop my Cadillac how much?

Go to France and you'd be golden. France used to require yellow headlights. One advantage to them is they don't disappear in the fog if the sun is shining on it. Looking at the picture of the front of your car, I think the half shields will really set it off, regardless of what color headlights...

    Drop my Cadillac how much?

Headlights are supposed to be white. I remember using those bulbs for fog lamps. Why not put the half moon glare shields on your headlights. They give a sleepy cool look and actually improve visibility in rain and fog. When I drove a truck, I used to make "poor man" fog lamps with duct...

    Ouch!

This is why I have dash cams in all on my cars. I have two fairly new and nice vehicles and an old beater truck with most of the paint falling off. The nice cars get cut off and nearly hit repeatedly. The truck with most of the paint missing rarely gets cut off.

    Drop my Cadillac how much?

The problem with dropping is the suspension was engineered by guys with a bunch of letters behind their names. When you change ride height, you change the way the car drives. I have seen a similar car with front fender skirts. I think they were custom made as I've never seen them otherwise. They...

    'Nother GMC issue.

I've got another, minor, issue I'd like to pick the collective brain on. I have the mechanical issues on my '93 C2500 sorted out, so far. One problem it had when I bought it was the radio was bad but would occasionally power up. I know these trucks have a lot of trouble with grounds. I've...

Didn't expect a wheel to do that.

Here in S.W. Indiana, we usually freeze and thaw a lot and get a good pot hole crop each year. I've seen alloy wheels do that many times over the years. It's one reason I like steel wheels. Most of the ones I've seen that crack like that failed immediately but sometimes failed quite a while...

    For sale. 1993 GMC C2500

I sort of hate to part with this truck but I need to get something a little heavier duty. It's a basic 1993 GMC C2500 Sierra. Mostly just a basic work truck although it does have an automatic and air conditioning. I bought it out of a barn and I've been happy with it, but while it has heavier...
