I did the swipe trick and yo no avail. I ended up sending it to Jeffescotlx on youtube. He fixed it really quickly and for less than a new . Thanks for the advice people
If no coolant leaks to the ground then its a possibility its leaking from the inside , keep an eye on it and if its a drastic leak that you cant see puddling on the ground then you make have a bigger issue.
These trucks have known cluster issues and often times need to be reworked to fix the issue. Many channels on YouTube show how to repair these when you say brake light comes on. Do you mean the brake light on the cluster.? If so, that’s a complete separate issue With the ABS module under the...
O yeah I spilled my beer on it last time I left the bar. Jk though no spills. I saw a Yt video that says that its static electricity build up on the circuit board and I could run my hand across to dissipate the charge. I will post up if that actually works.
So my cluster readout is starting to scroll through different languages and each time i start the truck it intermittently does this. Sometimes it will work normal other times it just gives me all the different languages it can use but wont let me change or choose. Anyone had this issue before...
Obviously a broken piece here, when these trucks are lowered its good to install an offset arm like this https://djmsuspension.com/product/2007-2018-chevy-gmc-tahoe-yukon-suburban-yukon-xl-rear-sway-bar-end-links-for-lowered-suspensions/
When you put the truck in “gear” did you try to spin the...
Ahhh i see! It almost got stuck in brain that way, that was a close one. Lol. The “pre” in my head is before or prior to installation. So you would go into the parts store and get “post” bent brake lines? Haha:happy160:
i had this happen a fee years ago and wound up replacing all the valves and canister. No problems since but I suppose could have tried to diagnose but i just figured its still cheaper to diy all the parts than to pay a shop to do it.
I think someone mentioned this already but the cats probably need to be replaced, especially if the code come back. There is a hack for the o2 sensors that you can try, google 02 sensor hack involves an adapter you drill out and it moves the 02 sensor away from the pipe, anyway it worked for me...
This is the kinda data Iam after. I know i burn allot of oil but since I dont drive my truck daily It takes me a few weeks to before i need to top off.
let me preface this question by saying i have upgraded the valve cover and am currently running a oil catch can. My lm7 is still consuming more or less a quart every 300 miles, seems to vary depending on how much idling I do.
For those who are in the same boat(Valdez) have you found that...
Sounds like your on the right track. For my ground strap I left it alone and I found another bolt on the back of the engine and grounded it to the firewall.
Agree with the above comment about the engine ground strap on top near the firewall. Those can corrode and break. I would check voltage from block to positive battery. Consider big 3/4 upgrade.
