What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Installed a Dynomax Ultra-Flo Catback. Been watching this thing off and on for a few years on Rockauto and it is always out of stock. Just happened to need to replace a muffler that rusted out and snagged it for $312 shipped. Fits like a glove, installed in the driveway with the rear up on...

I want to reverse the lift. Im confused.

should be as easy as removing the spacers, either at the top or bottom of the strut.. then re-align it.

    2008 5.3 rough 4cyl operation and transition

I meant the range module thing to just tune it out. If I wasn't pushing 200K I would probably look at the full cam swap and associated goodies.

    2008 5.3 rough 4cyl operation and transition

i think we talked about this last time I posted, i appreciate the advice again. The low speed thing kinda went away the last oil change but now it’s back and bringing more along with it. Hopefully just the solenoids and not anything more. Do not want to spend 200 on a AFM delete if there’s...

    2008 5.3 rough 4cyl operation and transition

running 192K miles on my 08 5.3. I have been noticing a ton more feedback through the body when the engine is cruising. when transitioning from 8-4 its pretty smooth, but when its running on the 4cyl mode it is very obvious and vibrates the truck and can feel it in my steering wheel. As I add...

Standard Do / Do Not lifted towing

heres a pic of my 08 with 2" level and 33's (tow pakagage, 3.42s etc) and rear MOOG HD springs. no bags. only extra was a brake controller. flat gound was no issue. I hit some hills going through western VA and it did OK, a bit sketchy going uphill through the mountains. if you are running 35s...

    Tire monitor delete? Anyone?

grab the 4 sensors and throw them in a PVC tube thats capped with a valve stem, pump it up to 36 and throw it under the back seat.

    Starter Test

just to throw my experience in the ring.. Had a "click" then also had a delay start as well. sometimes it would mess with the power to the truck long enough to reset the clock. had a 6 month old battery. Bought a new starter, same intermittent issue, new positive cable kit, same intermittent...

    KYB, I'm a fan now!

I have the same setup on my 08, Rock auto KYB kit.. definitely an improvement over the 185K mile stock stuff I had on there but they seem to be a bit lacking on rough roads and all the crappy pavement around Philadelphia. perfect setup for 90% of Tahoe/Yukon owners

Intermittent Delayed crank- loss of power

Well, hopefully I have taken care of the last thing on the electrial path from key to starter. Bought a new Negative cable assembly from battery to engine and front bumper area. pulled the ground off again and saw that the green corosion had worked it way up the strands into the insulation on...

Intermittent Delayed crank- loss of power

Welp.. its doing it again. very random. If I turn the key it to start everything goes dark for the split second like usual. but no start. I hold the key and it will crank about 3 seconds later. Ususally if I do not release the key the radio clock and HVAC are as they were before. If i turn...

Intermittent Delayed crank- loss of power

Hopefully a good update. replaced the ignition switch/module under the column. The small "button" that goes into the lock cylinder housing was quite worn and I have a feeling that it may have not made whatever on/off connection it needed to make when cycling the key. the new module and button...

    DRL’s on 2017 Tahoe LT

Its a model year thing, yes, the HID cant dim.. but my 2019 does not have HID and it has the LEDs. I think 2018+ they changed it. either way. just follow the sticky in the other forum and you should be able to do this.

    Any1 changed their seat colors?

Pretty sure these new trucks do not need an upholstery shop to install. theres zippers and clips that hold everything together. just buy a garmet steamer to help get the wrinkles out.

    Leather seat clip comes off

Get some bubblegum and put it on the clip! Is the seat foam worn? sounds like it may have a bit too much squish and losing its tension. As long as you have it in the correct spot on the frame, I would just get some non-hardening putty or some silicone and stick it back on

    08 tahoe 2wd w/RC 7.5 lift not level

I doubt it will settle more than an inch up front, but things may take a bit to break in and settle into place. did you torque the control arms with weight on the suspension or hanging?

    K2xx wheel thread

I got the trailboss wheels and tires for $1400. I also traded them my factory 18s so that took off a good chunk. They sell most 20" wheels/tires for 1400-1600 and escalade/denali 22s are 2000-2200.
