    Starting issue

Right I am aware of the P0442 being a small leak detected. I have only replaced the gas cap, purge valve and vent valve. I have not replaced anything else. The CEL and starting issues began occurring at the same time so that's why I'm thinking they must be related in one way or another. It's...

    Starting issue

So another question would be how could a P0442 be related to this starting issue because they began occurring at virtually the same time.

    Starting issue

That's exactly what I am thinking. Seems more fuel delivery related than electrical, grounds, starter, etc. Like I said it's becoming so predictable. Cold starts it's always perfect 100% never an issue. 2nd start of that day after a quick run to the store 90% chance the starting issue will...

    Starting issue

Correct me if I'm wrong, but are you saying when I blip and release the key and let the computer take over the starting sequence that if the engine never fires the starter will continue running forever or until the battery goes dead? In my case the starter will turn for probably 5-6 seconds and...

    Starting issue

Yes that's exactly how I start the vehicle, I blip the key and let the computer do the rest. When I'm having the issue (which is becoming very predictable) I blip, let the computer take over as I always do, the starter engages like normal and the engine cranks strong for maybe 5-6 seconds...

    Starting issue

Thanks for replying. I don't have a good scan tool to monitor fuel pressures on the fly unfortunately. No evidence of fuel in the oil. I have used Seafoam and Techron fuel system cleaners in the vehicle. I have not inspected the flex plate but I did throw a new starter at it a few months ago...

    Transfer case whining?

Thanks for the replies everyone. The Tahoe was due for front diff fluid and oil change. After I did these the whining noise I posted about has mysteriously gone away. But, the issue with the transfer case is still present I'm sure. The service 4WD message has gone away for the moment...

    Correct front axle fluid?

Thanks James. I figured I'd ask on here for the heck of it. Called parts dept at Chevy and they told me 75w-90 synthetic for front & rear diff. I already purchased the 75w-90 darn it. Should I go return it or is it safe to use?

    Correct front axle fluid?

2007 Tahoe LT 4WD Should I be using 80W-90 or 75W-90 synthetic axle lubricant in the front differential? When I scour the web I'm finding conflicting information.. Thanks guys!

Chasing 0455 code for months- Help!

Yes I've done all of the above except the charcoal canister. No trouble when filling up. Never smell gas either. Perhaps it could be a pin hole. Thanks for the suggestion.

Chasing 0455 code for months- Help!

I get long starts sometimes. Been chasing a P0442 for a while now too. They have to be related. Do you have an idea what it could be?

    2008 Yukon Denali P0442

Good luck! Swathdiver and I are both still dealing with this EVAP leak crap. I've changed cap, purge and vent. Still came back. Most likely something on top of the gas tank. Interestingly enough right around the time I started getting the EVAP code the truck began having intermittent starting...

    Transfer case whining?

Hey guys, 2007 Tahoe LT 4WD we have a very faint whining noise when rolling. Almost like an old police siren. Only happens when cold like for the first few miles. This morning I drove with windows down, got it up to 30mph and shifted to neutral. Volume/pitch of the whine is totally dependent on...

    Starting issue

Noticing a pattern with the starting issue. Cold starts it never happens. So first start of the day it's perfect. Drive to store. Next start it will happen 90% of the time. Blip the key and let it do it's thing. It will crank for a while and quit. Take key out. Blip key again and it will crank...

2007 Tahoe power seats gears stripped/broken teeth?

Yes the motor continuously keeps spinning but the seat will stop and start moving. Has to be the gears.

2007 Tahoe power seats gears stripped/broken teeth?

During forward & backward operation the motor spins no problem and the seat moves back & forth but it's jerky and will stop and start moving during operation. It's not smooth either it's like rough and crunchy. I'm thinking the gears that move the seat along the threaded rods are either stripped...

    Starting issue

Ok so here's the current situation.. Around the same time the starting issue began occurring we were also getting EVAP codes. P0455, P0442, etc. It all has to be related in some way. I have replaced the gas cap (stuck with AC Delco), I have replaced the EVAP purge valve (under hood), Replaced...
