Exhaust is getting fabricated then back to the transmission shop. Going true dual 3", no cats, dual electric exhaust cutouts, Black Widow Angry Housewife mufflers (should have seen the wife look at me when I told her lmao), and 12" black stainless rolled edge tips

Vortec 454/4L80e HD swapped 1999 Tahoe OBS

I was thinking maybe clogged line as well, but I did have fluid coming out of the lines. Could be a small clog

Cooler installed, transmission still get hot. Got it up to 252 last night. Must be something internal to the transmission

Tru Cool Max 40K install. I should have made a video on this install, because the ones I've seen make it look more complicated than it really is. Need to pick up a spacer for the upper right bracket, then install the cooler lines. Pretty easy job.

    Oil change time - Additives?

That sucks, but hey, now you got that natural stuff to fight it off better in the future! And, you're still above ground, that's a good thing!

    Oil change time - Additives?

We've been great! Been busy with work, family, and working on the house lately. Just had our 1 year anniversary last month and spent it in Asheville. Man that year went by fast! How have you been?

    Oil change time - Additives?

Really? I honestly didn't know that. I typically run Purolator Boss or similar

Vortec 454/4L80e HD swapped 1999 Tahoe OBS

Well it did, then I drove it home. Shifts weren't right, and felt like it was bogging. Come to find out the output sensor was wired to rear of transmission and not transfer case, causing shifts to act quickly. Rewired and it was better, but felt like it was still hunting gears unless under WOT...

    5.7l Vortec Distributor Timing

I had Dash Command for the 5.7 and had to buy the extension. Definitely worth every penny, and you can read CMP Retard in there.

99 OBS Tahoe Transmission options with 4L60E

I used to know the exact answer to this question, and I think you're correct. Only thing you'd have to do is swap the TC if it's coming out of an LS engine application.

    Cam/Converter/Rear Gear Ration Combination Question

In all honesty, it looks pretty dang good. Before I read the build list, I was thinking 4.56 gears and a higher stall, and looks like you have it. If you want some fun juice, I'd swap out for a billet TC and run some nitrous!

Vortec 454/4L80e HD swapped 1999 Tahoe OBS

Here we go! Finally got down to the nitty-gritty, supposedly. The 2-3 shift solenoid and internal harness were faulty somehow, and the transfer case was stuck in 4Lo, which explains the "dragging" sensation. They were doing hole shots in the parking lot with it yesterday, so today I pick it up...

Just like he said, plus I believe that's the coolant temp sensor to the left of it.

Vortec 454/4L80e HD swapped 1999 Tahoe OBS

It's funny you say this, because right after I posted I checked the solenoids, and when you command the 1-2 ON, it turns ON, but when you control the 2-3 ON, it turns OFF. Don't think that's supposed to happen. The tune in the PCM should be correct, because it was tested on an 0411PCM swapped...

    Which "Spider" injectors

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000NW8EU8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_CTACRMVJMH3034QNG116 You technically don't need the base to go with it, but this unit is on sale. I would grab it The other option is the one without the base. They have a used-like new for cheap too...

    Which "Spider" injectors

The upgrade is an "MPFI" model of the spiders which is far better than the poppet style. They drop in just as easily and much more reliable

    97 Tahoe 5.7 V8 Gross Dirt / Mud / Residue in coolant

Looks like the same color as the stop leak. Did you follow the directions properly on the bottle? I've only used that stuff once in my life, but would never do it again. It's a bandaid to a much bigger problem. I would start by flushing the system, pressure testing it, check each cylinder...

Alright guys, I come to you for your superior knowledge once more! I hooked up the new 0411PCM and was having a high idle issue just like the last pcm. Somehow, it finally settled down and I did the crank relearn. FINALLY TOOK!!! No more issue there. However, I'm using a Snap On Solus Ultra...
