Which "Spider" injectors

A "minor illness" sidelined my injector replacement party from a few months back. However, I'm back at wrench twisting strength but as I was shopping for the injectors a problem has popped up.
Typing in "Injectors, 1999 Tahoe" yields a part number, but then when I input that number on another site I'm told that it won't fit my truck.
After 21 years of owning my Tahoe I only recently realized that in 1999 there were apparently 2 body styles. I remember there being a strike and I had to wait some time for mine and later seeing the "new" style I always just assumed mine was a 1998. I finally looked at the manual, then the title and, sho' nuff, it's a 1999. So, which part number injectors do I need?

both bottom 2 part numbers for injector kits are listed for your truck. now the only "argument" i can come up with is if you technically have a 2000 truck. if you have the 5.7 there's 2 injector sets available. original oem and upgraded oem and as far as im aware either will work. im unaware what the deal was with the new version that gm released but regardless the 5.7 acdelco injectors listed are both listed for your truck. now if you technically have a 2000 with the 5.3 you dont have spider injectors you have single injectors that are exposed not under the upper intake.

I concur. You should order for a 98 or 2000. Unless you enter vin number at GM. Keep on it!

The upgrade is an "MPFI" model of the spiders which is far better than the poppet style. They drop in just as easily and much more reliable

Because of the amount of work to get there, I highly recommend replacing lower manifold gaskets while you are that far in it. Expecially since you are likely over 100K miles. 1.5-2 hours more and $30. Cheap peace of mind.

I am in the process of installing the MPFI Spider upgrade this week. I have the latest Felpro intake gaskets, and new Felpro bolts. When I pulled the lower intake, I noted extreme corrosion pitting at the coolant port gasket surface. I soaked the lower intake in a hot tank parts washer, and media blasted the corrosion. I am building up the surface with Metal Set A4 epoxy.

Nice smoove surface now! Hope you Alodined' it before epoxy. It will probably last long enough even without it, because you blasted it clean.
