    Checked my engine hours today

I’m at 190k and 4100 hours. 16k idle hours is insane.

I noticed that while driving it sounded like my tire was rubbing the fender. Looked around and didn’t see anything. Decided to take off the wheels and check for sticky pads and still nothing. Took off the rotor and found it to be a bad wheel hub bearing. Got it fixed and running nicely again.

Thank you. Just got back from an impromptu trip to Dublin Ohio to pick up another weekend toy ( a low mileage glacier white on red 6 speed 2015 Audi S4; already have a 2014 S4 with a DSG). Put about 7k miles on the Tahoe in two weeks. Sitting at 189,500 miles now. Zero hiccups on my road-trips...

Road tripping from Houston Tx to Door County Wi. Stopped in Hotsprings Ar and Peoria Il on the way. Hanging out in Door County for a few days and then heading back. The car feels awesome with the civilian suspension.

I finally changed out the front struts, rear springs and shocks and bump stops. I converted it from PPV to a civilian suspension and it raised the car 2-3 inches for now. According the to the wife, the ride quality went from 2/10 to 9/10 with the new suspension and tie rod ends. The steering...

    Ppv suspension to civilian question

Can anyone please confirm if the Monroe 1000005VK front and rear shock absorbers and rear MOOG 81071 coil springs work for a 2010 PPV? I want to smooth out the ride more and don’t care about the lowered stance. Simply wantba smoother ride that’s all. Any advice will be appreciated.

I decided to replace the outer tie rods ends because the boots were looking worn. I replaced them with the MOOGs and while doing it, saw that my inner rods were toasted as well. So then I had to order some MOOG inner ones and replace those. On to the alignment shop next.

Could it possible be worse than Houston lol? The humidity here makes the summer heat stick to you.

Yea mine looked super beat up. Plus lots of holes from being a PPV. Looks a whole lot better now. Post You should post some before and after pictures when you finish. Where do live? It’s hot as hell here in Houston also.

From what I have seen, it’s difficult to get the roll on stuff on evenly.

I used 3 cans total. I masked off the entire car except the painted area. The tape is super easy to get off and you shouldn’t have any issues with it. Definitely mask off as much as you can as it is not as friendly with overspray as say plasti dip.

Here are the calipers: They shine in the sun but are otherwise subltle.

I used what Sparksalot linked in the Amazon link. I honestly was not impressed with it as it was difficult to spray it evenly. I bought Herculiner for the roof rack and it came out way more even when putting it down. Definitely recommend Herculiner.

I concealed the wires better and cleaned up the wiring. Now on to using some G2 paint to paint the brake calipers blue.

Testing the mirror in another car. It’s supposed to also function as a front and rear dash cam as well. Will definitely help since the car has 5% tint all around.

Finally got my Escalade roof rack on. Took about 4 hours to get everything perfect. Lots of adjustments were need it to get it perfectly spot on. I think it came out great. Hardest part was getting the center bolts aligned perfectly. Next up is a digital reverse mirror and blue painted calipers..

You are correct, the DRLs were working when I got the car. In the pictures the headlight DRL LED strip is actually wired to the parking lamp bulbs. My DRLs bulbs are also amber (I changed them out from the clear bulbs) but are the inner most bulbs closest to the grille.

I had to add a black OEM Yukon spoiler and debadged appliqué. Both really had to be compounded and polished. Came out looking perfect.
