Great price on that hitch bar. I couldn't find a used one, so went with GMPartsdepo on line - $600 CDN delivered - still $200 cheaper than dealer cost....
The newer type switch bezel will not fit the older style panel. Been down this road with my '14 PPV. Hope to find a used one eventually or buy new. Seems to be a common problem. Too bad they don't sell the the handle part separately.
I bought a decent used 20" set and I'm quite satisfied with the look.
Standard PPV stiff suspension though, and somewhat noisy tires,
but I can live with it. These were $850 CDN off
a 2014 Silverado.........
I bought a 3'x4' piece of carpet/mat at the local hdw store ($15) and some double sided carpet tape. Fits great but stuff still slid around a bit, so I now use plastic storage bins. If full, they don't move at all. The mat nicely covers all the holes and cuts in the vinyl from the cop storage...
As said, you'll be fine. I recently bought a set of used 20 inch
Silverado rims with 285/50/20's - they fit and look great.
Keeping the 17" cop wheels for winter.....
Replaced a burnt out driver-side marker light this past Saturday.
What a pain ! You'd think that in this day and age things
would become easier. Took about 20 minutes.........
Lol - we knew the tires were going to be noisy because
of the tread before we put them on.
I was surprised that the truck had a wiring harness
- tucked up behind the 're-bar' as it was solid
and not set up for trailering......
My nephew installed the 'new' wheels today. They fit just fine.
The tires though are a lot louder than the stock 17"
GY Eagles, but they look great.........
Picked up four of these civi wheels with Fierce 285/50/20's.
Hope they fit - it's not the diameter, but the width that
has me concerned. I'll post pics after install
on the truck.........
I've just installed an OEM rebar/hitch on my '14. It was a bit of a pain,
but if on a hoist it is relatively easy and took less than an hour.
The wiring is there and the socket part is readily available.
( Lol - I found a scrap hitch/bar a week later )
The heaviest I'll be towing is a 1,600 lb...
