    Suspension Lift and Spacers?

I was 12 when this body style came out. I remember always wanting two vehicles as a kid... A black Pontiac WS6 Trans Am and a lifted black Z71 Tahoe! I built this truck and ended up giving it to my wife before I ever got to drive it lol! Thanks.

    Suspension lift or body lift

I had read the reviews said people had issues with the spacer studs corroding and not letting the lug nuts come off without breaking the studs but I never had that issue. Other than that, they are chunks of aluminum. Make sure you torque the hell out of the lugs that hold the spacers on. Not...

    Suspension lift or body lift

I have eBay bolt on spacers. I had to cut my OEM studs down. Pretty sure I paid $120 for all four. Been on the truck for 4 years with out any issues.

Thanks guys. I like the new tires (Went cheap with 315/70/17 10 ply Ironman All Country MT - $760 installed). I'm surprised how quiet they are. Ordered 1.5" coil spacers yesterday too. The new tires rub pretty badly at 6" of lift so this should fix it.

New water pump and thermostat, now this issue.

After the truck runs for a while and the t-stat opens, shut the truck off and run your hand over the radiator. Feel for cold spots. The only time I've had a truck run very hot from an air pocket was when the heater core was sucking in air. Otherwise, the air bubbles work themselves out very...

    Suspension Lift and Spacers?

Excellent. They are Rough Country shocks designed for the 6" lift... I did this lift a few years ago and don't remember if they had shock extensions or not but I can fabricate and weld if I have to. My big concern is how the rear axle doesn't sit center in the wheel wells since the rear pivots...

    Suspension Lift and Spacers?

Well I ended up ordering 1.5" coil spacers. I'll see how the truck clears 315/70/17s at 7.5" of lift.

    Do I have hydroboost? (PICS)

It is also common for seepage down that part of the frame rail behind the upper control arm when the unit is leaking. Easiest way to identify the hydroboost unit is the lack of the big round brake booster and those two line behind the master cylinder.

    Do I have hydroboost? (PICS)

Hydroboost unit is a pain to change. Mine leaked, after a few bottles of stop leak it eventually stopped, luckily! It's got it's advantages and disadvantages. If you had a radical cam, it would be very beneficial. If your belt breaks you'll have very poor stopping power.

I'm not too far away. The municipality I work for and live in boarders Wallpack Township. The truck is clean for it's mileage... I wanna say it's right around 235k miles but not much is original anymore lol.

Thanks guys. The truck is at the point I rather need to replace the inner & outer rockers, I'm starting to see some rust bubbles on the inner wheel wells in the rear door jambs and a spot on the rear quarter. The bumpers are also starting to rust. While it's all within my skill level, it would...

    Suspension Lift and Spacers?

Hey, I have a Tahoe with a 6" NTD Rough Country lift. I know my torsion keys are very close to stock height but am I going to run into any issues (such as the control arms binding, the RC shocks overextending, etc) if I reindex the keys and add 1.5" coil spacers? I'm looking to clear the new set...
