Ordered from RZ’s on Wednesday and he still hasn’t shipped. He has a ton of good reviews but a few lately that say he never shipped. Hoping I’m not one of the few ♂
Anyone know if a suede dash cover exists? Or a nice quality carpet one? I’m sick of breaking dashboards and just want to cover it at this point. NO I DONT WANT TO RUN A DASH CAP
Update on no rear sway bar. The truck is SUPERRRR light in the rear at higher speeds. Feels normal at anything under like 60mph but over that it starts to feel sketchy. Would not recommend lol
We timed it perfect and hit zero traffic on the entire ride down. It wasn’t until we got to central Florida before we hit any traffic. Driving through the middle of nowhere Georgia at night was the worst part IMO. No lights on the highway for hours
Absolutely not. The drive from RI to south west Florida was bad enough. I’m perfectly fine driving up to like 8-9 hours at a time but that 24 hour drive felt like 24 days lol
No problem!
Not sure if I mentioned it already but right before I made the drive south, one of my DJM sway bar end links snapped at the weld. I made the 1500 mile drive and didn’t even notice that it was broken so I just said F it, I’ll fix it whenever I get around to it… well today while...
Good thing I moved from the #1 worst roads in the entire country to where the roads that are like glass. People from NY always think their roads are the worst and they aren’t even close. This is where I came from and drove on 26’s with small tires with no issues. Drove to NY quite a few times on...
I almost bought some 24’s last night but I’d need a really small tire to make them work. Only way the truck wouldn’t be a royal pain to drive would be to run a 255/30/24
Nope both racks going bad had nothing to do with the suspension. First replacement one started leaking at the hose and the 10mm bolt stripped. Second one leaks from the seal where the steering shaft goes. I’m going to mark that one down as bad luck due to me being cheap and not wanting to spend...
Everything suspension wise has been great aside from the rear sway bar end link snapping
It’s the engine dying, rear windows working when they want, going through steering racks at an alarming rate, changing the rear main seal to only have it start leaking from the same area a few days later...
That’s just false. The size of the wheel has absolutely nothing to do with whether or not the tire will rub. You can have 26’s that have a smaller OD than a factory 22” tire
Picked up some new take-offs for $350 today. Rotors don’t look as new as I thought they would for take-offs but can’t complain for the money on all OEM stuff
I’m just going to keep updating this as I find new things that bottom out front lower control arms. The rear of the arms now contacts the frame. Parked, there’s about 1 finger width between the arm and top of the mount
I know this is an absolute unicorn vehicle but does anyone have a Suburban with no sunroof and no overhead tv?? Grabbed a non-sunroof headliner for my truck today and this is what it had for an overhead console in the rear. The slot had hvac control in it (junkyard wanted $100 for it so I left...
When the wife and baby aren’t in the truck, I regularly take on/off ramps at 60mph+ I just ordered those end links, thank you for the P/N. I think soon I’m going to be changing the control arms for something with a narrower track width so maybe once I get that all done, I may as well get a...
I catch so much crap for using this method but companies like Rough Country use the same method for their lowering kits and yes I know the end links are super long. I don’t know if any negative effects of leaving them long so I’ve just remained lazy and left them long
For the DIY guys, here’s another option to lower the front of your truck. The strut normally mounts to the top of the control arm. You can mount it to the bottom to lower about 1.5-2” without any spacers. Want to go even lower, add spacers until you get the drop you want. 3rd picture is the...
