Before you put them on, i thought it would be too white but i think they look good with the painted lower valance. Also gotta say that everything you have done lately with the hood, wheels, running boards and cleaning up that rear trim has made a huge difference
To start, buy an oem hood. I thought i would help save on my cost by buying an aftermarket one but all of the adjusting and grinding just to try to get all of the gaps somewhere close will probably eat up all the money i thought i was going to save
To continue my string of bad luck, it appears that fedex has lost my package which contain the esky roof rack that i bought from a member on here :(
Tracking says it was delivered to me at 3:08 saturday in my garage. Well i was home all day and no package was left here. Now since they are...
Thanks Brandon! I think thats what we are going to do. We messed around with the latches some more tonite to get the gaps a little better and the front is looking a little better too.
Just bolted up the hd hood to the yukon to get ready to do some cutting and noticed the huge gap up front. It doesnt sit near flush, the grille sits out a good 1" to 1 & 1/2" in some places. Anybody else had this problem?
I sell p&c insurance and i am the agent of my own policy. You are right, always have it at the bodyshop if you can so the shop can be sure to point out everything.
My truck was at the bodyshop when the adjuster looked at it. All of the extras such as a new headlight and taillight, new...
I have been researching this a lot lately and have come to the conclusion that yes, those are all the parts that you will need aside from a few retainers. But, for the bumper cover you will have to cut some on your existing bumper to make it fit. You have to cut out for the fog lights and trim...
Thanks! Do you plan on dropping yours?
It's nice having insurance taking care of everything for me. It's not nice being my own insurance agent and having this count against my loss ratio :emotions122:
So far i've ordered: hd hood, smooth rear vent caps, escalade roof rack, and belltech sp shocks for the front. I just cant figure out what i want to do with the front bumper and grille.
My bumper has some dents in it and the grille is scratched up in some places so they could use some...
So it looks like my insurance is going to take good care of me. They are giving me money for a new hood, headlight, taillight and of course painting the entire driver side.
I know this has been discussed a few times before, i just want to make sure what i'm doing before i pull the trigger on the bumper cover.
While my yukon slt is in the shop for paint next week, i thought i would go ahead and add the denali front end to it. I know that i will need the grille...
"try to find where the squeak is coming from when the driver side front tire bouces or is hit."
I had something very similar going on with my yukon. Squeaked every time the front wheel moved at all. Turned out to be the rubber bushing on top of the shock. I took it out and replaced it with...
Thanks for all the replies. It appears from the wording that was keyed that this is probably a case of mistaken identity. Either way it still sucks and i just hope it doesn't happen again after i get it fixed.
Went to close the garage door last night and noticed a long scratch going down the drivers side door. Really thought it was something light, like maybe someone brushed up against it while walking by. Nope.
Keyed down to the metal, as well as a keyed hood and a nice big dent in the hood. I...
It has a nice deep rumble to it, not too loud, but louder than i was shooting for. I wanted something near stock quiet and am trying a flo pro next. Lookup "18 magnaflow" on youtube and there are a lot of tahoes and silverados and such that will give you a good idea of what it sounds like.
I have a magnaflow part #11259 for sale. I only had it on for a few hundred miles last summer, took it off for a vacation trip and it has been sitting in my garage ever since. Asking $60 shipped.
