Seen this before....missing oil filler tube?
They actually have a locking tab inside. They twist in, but could have become brittle and broke free. On a side note I usually remove mine and just screw the cap right in the valve cover and use a funnel to fill it.- crazycoupe

Hard Water
Kinda expensive but performanceboatcandy has some stuff called speed gloss and it works wonders on my boat. Takes the water spots right off. Just a suggestion .- crazycoupe
