No. I still have the static noise when it's on. I've just turned up the volume more to drown it out but is annoying when need low volume.
I haven't done any more to try to solve it because when I get the time in the coming months I'll be installing new speakers all around powered by an amp so...
Anyone use Apple CarPlay? I'm looking into this Pioneer, Sony, and Alpine. Would love the Alpine but it's a bit pricey. The Sony seems like the next been option. Just was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the Apple CarPlay...
I had read some bad reviews of some Kenwood's similar to your model (might of been the same one too). The main thing was that they had issues and didn't last long. So good to hear that yours had been good to you and lasted.
I currently have an Alpine 7" touch screen stereo but it is not dual zone to be able to use the rear dvd separately in my 06 Z71. Was wondering what stereo's you guys are using that are reasonably priced (under $500) that sound and work good.
Sorry about brining a thread back from the dead but was curious if you guys who have the rear Rugged Ridge rear mat have seen it flatten out over time since this was done a few years ago.
I picked up the front mats recently and love them and was thinking about picking up the rear one piece mat...
I have a 2006 Tahoe Z71 with Bose and while I'm driving I have noticed that the dash lights will all dim or brighten randomly. Same effect as when you roll the dial switch to increase or decrease how lit up they are. The dimmer wheel does not move while driving and it can happen just on a...
I got the kit for the Z71 which included rear spring spacers, all 4 shocks, and both keys. There's a lot of threads/debate on here if 285's can clear without the leveling kit. I mainly got the leveling kit because I wanted a little bit of a lift and especially wanted to level it out from that...
Here are the pictures:
First one shows how there isn't anything there when I cut out the first part. Second shows the opening I had to make to fit the CB. Third shows the modification to the pocket bezel to get the depth. Final one is how it looks installed
UPDATE:
I finally was able to get some time to cut into the center console behind the top shallow pocket between the two cigarette lighter/12V supply. Nothing was behind there and was just a support for the shallow pocket. I cut it back and was able to fit my Midland 1001LWX which is about 8"...
UPDATE:
I cut into this area (small cut first) to see if there would be any issue. Nothing was behind there and looked like it was just a support for the shallower pocket on top. I cut it out and no issues with rattling while driving or anything like that. I'll post some pictures later.
Took a closer look and doesn't look like there is anything behind it. For whatever reason GM made the top pocket on the center console short and this is just to support that. I'm going to cut it back to make the pocket deeper.
is there a plug connection option on your Metra harness that's for amp and one for non amp? My PAC has that and I had it plugged into the wrong one even though it sounded like I had it plugged in to the right one on how they word it. I switched mine and it worked since with the wrong plug in I...
Thanks! They will be on '14 Silverado split 5 spoke rims which I thought were around 9" wide. So basically either way it requires a little trimming.
What lift do you have?
Looking to do either the Supreme Suspensions leveling kit or Rough Country leveling kit which gets 2-3" lift.
Wondering if 305/65R18 BFG AT KO2 tires would fit?
