I plan to replace my rear differential cover when I change the fluid (it's pretty rusty). I don't know the condition or type of the existing gasket so I will plan to replace it as well. I've seen mixed information about using RTV on the gasket. Does anyone have advice on what's recommended?
I just did mine and found that I had to put the tool on the underside of the crank pulley to get it started. Then it had plenty of room to crank around and up over the top.
Thanks, it's a 4x4 SLT. I'm not planning to do a whole lot more right now....I am considering black rims and blacking out the grill/emblems in the future. I'm kind of in the fence about that still.
I finally grabbed a pic while it was clean. This is when I bought it vs today. Externally the only difference is tires, tint, vent shades, and wax. I replaced the factory head unit and am working through 100k maintenance items now.
I bought one of these 8" Rockville subs for my truck and I was really surprised by the amount of bass it puts out for the size and price. Definitely a good budget sub.
I have the same Bose system in my Yukon, but I've never taken that center console apart. Is there just a powered sub in...

I got two sheets of these when I ordered, so I have an extra set. I believe they are the light blocking type. I don't really notice any light showing through the black part. I'll send these free of charge to the first person who can use them. They look like the ones pictured below. I don't...
Might have been my thread you saw... I posted the cap I got, plus a few others posted theirs.

What do you use to treat the leather? And why so often? I'm not nitpicking, genuinely curious...I just bought my Yukon a few months ago and this is my first experience with leather seats this old.
Following up on my post, as I had a shop look at the AC and it is now working. Here are their notes:
Initial inspection of HVAC system found pressure line frozen at orifice tube on evaporator side. Hook machine up and found low pressures on high and low side. Recover R134a from vehicle and...
I did these recalibration steps based on comments on this video. It did reset to 74 degrees, so hopefully that means I did it correctly.
Turned on ignition to accessory and set the heating system to AUTO. It does not matter what the temperature settings are when you do this, just that the...
Yes, even when temp is turned all the way down it does not change the air temp. I did try replacing the blend door actuator under the passenger side dash, but it didn't make any difference. Not sure if there are more than one of them?
