~ Kon Pulling to the right ~

I have a 99' Yukon that pulls to the right. Sometimes worse than others. Does this at all times; worse on decel and even worse when braking. I have taken apart brakes on both sides and all is well. Seen pads collapse and return with ease. Bearings looked good. Pulled wheels top/down and...

    ~ A/C questions ~

Im not saying the rear takes longer to get cold down; rather the whole system takes a bit to cool, and that the rear is noticeably colder. Im wondering if thats a sign of low charge or something else.

How to adjust drum brakes (no access to adjuster)

Even if its 100% flush on the outside of the backing plate? Where is it exactly and what am I going to need to do to grind it off? Would a Dremel work or do I need something more powerful? And will I have to take everything apart to get to it?

    ~ A/C questions ~

Alright, got it all together. Seems to work pretty well. I stopped at 44oz. Though something I noticed, the rear AC is considerably colder and it it seems to take a little longer to start cooling than Im used to with my Camaro (and understand it has 260K+ miles on it). Also, the compressor is a...

How to adjust drum brakes (no access to adjuster)

As you can see from the title I cannot figure out how to adjust my rear drum brakes. There is no hole nor a punch for a hole to adjust the star wheel. Only a hole that allows a view to check the wear of the shoes (looks pretty good). Ive tried a few reverse pulls to get it to self adjust; it...

Thank you sir! It is open to atmosphere because I have taken the whole thing apart a cleaned everything. Pretty much all dry. Also, the accum, lines and compressor are brand new. That said; what do I put in now? 99 Yukon Four-door w/ rear A/C

Yes, I have rear AC. Need to know where the oil and capacity of oil goes. Is it 4oz comp, 3 accum, and 1 evap? ---------- Post added at 10:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:12 PM ---------- Was almost there! What a f'n nightmare this has been. I'm so tired of this; whilst trying to...

finally got the hoses and orifice tube. get this, I was also able to find the accumulator, but it was identical to the one I already have. counter guy said its likely a redesign and should work fine. so I'm going with the accumulator that I have. now to take it all apart and clean. but I...

No. Its a new one. For front A/C. I would happily buy the one for the rear, but I cannot find one within 200 miles.

    ~ A/C questions ~

I already have an accumulator. The problem is, is that its made for front AC. Im trying to figure out if it will work with the rear AC optioned trucks. Unless youre down the road, I doubt we can work anything out. I have to have this together tomorrow. I dont know what 'rear expansion valve' is...

Found the lines and orifice tube, not too far away. Still looking for the proper accumulator. Can anyone verify that the accumulator I have would work? These are the ones from Advance 1999 GMC Yukon SLT A/C MAN CONT(C60); Except RR AUX A/C(C69); Except RIGHT HAND DRIVE(RHD) and 1999 GMC Yukon...

    ~ A/C questions ~

Looks as though I do have Rear AC. AZ and Advance both believe that the smaller accumulator will work. Thoughts on this? Im sure dirty lines had a lot to do with the failure, but Im still not sure if maybe the accum had a part in it. I know the rear AC worked really well for the most part even...

    ~ A/C questions ~

it does indeed have controls but they are fan only. no temp controls. that said, if I have rear AC, do I have another oriface tube? condensor? accumulator? what else do I need to check? I plan to take everything I can apart and clean before I put the new compressor on and accumulator. is the...

Well, new compressor just bit the dust :( Looks like Freon spewed everywhere in the engine bay. Seems it came from between the pulley and the compressor. Anyway I can flush out my system without going to an A/C shop? Something I can do in my driveway basically...

Now thats informative! Thank you for taking the time to lend me a hand! Now as for for my old oriface tube... Not so good. It was full of complete crap, couldnt eve see through it; nothing black though. Almost all covered in red, which is likely due to the stop leak I had tried first time...

The A/C doesnt get stuck on, I was just curious because of the inconsistency with the lights. Well, I have another issue. Seems the A/C doesnt cool as well as I had hoped. And I noticed yesterday out of nowhere it seemed to get warmer (still cool, just not so much). Turned off the A/C button...

Thanks all! I will inspect the lines much closer this time around. I still have yet to change out the fluid and bleed. Fluid is black! Ill first start with an inspection of lines and rear drums. Then remove the old fluid from the res with a syringe and replace with new DOT4. Then do a full bleed.

What a pain this has been. Wth is that plug that goes in the back of the compressor? The thing got pretty mangled trying to get the thing out to put in the new compressor (I still cant believe it didnt come with it). Seeing how I have yet to charge it (due to a leaking high pressure valve)...

    ~ A/C questions ~

Just wasted about $70 in freon, oil, stop leak. Charged it up last night and today noticed the compressor was already cycling. Spayed water and noticed bubbles coming out of the ring in the middle of the compressor. Even when I believed the system was fully charged it never seemed to get very...

Inspected the plug in cyl #4 and noticed a very small crack on what I believe to be called the electrode (had another laying around). Also decided to check the gap and sure enough, no more than .035. Checked the rest of the plugs and low and behold all were incorrectly gapped. Regapped and no...

Which is left and which is right? Is it from driver seat or facing from front? Need to also know this for the ABS speed sensor. EDIT: Err Google... Looks like from driver seat so the pre CAT O2 would match up with Cyl 4 side. Just bought Cap and rotor; hope this helps cause this damned thing...
