    First thing I would do if you buy it is disable it. This is the best answer though. I like the pre 2007 classic 5.3., bulletproof.

    I would agree with this. If your intention was to go with the 6.2 at some point, just do the min to the current 5.3 and drive it until that time. Next best thing is to do a full AFM delete on the 5.3.

    I dont want to start an agument because people seem to be sensitive to brand/type but what kind of fluid did you flush/fill it with? I know there are a lot out there and I'm assuming Dextron VI? The fluid is super expensive these days.

    If it's the same as the trucks, yes, the fuel pump and sending unit are all together. Trucks are easier because you can lift the bed and get to it. Guessing the tank will need to be lowerd on these for replacement.

    Ok, yeah mine it a SLT, not Denali. For some reason I thought it was the 6spd, must have misread that somewhere. Got 190K on the engine and I have the AFM disabled. On my last Silverado with the 4spd, it seemed when I put it in tow/haul, it mostly stayed out of OD unless it was going downhill.
