Complete Spohn rear end 2007-2011 $300

I am on my 2nd round of adjustment. They seem good for a couple of days and then get noisy again. Did you ever use thread locker or anything during the adjustment? I didn't see that in the instructions, but I might have to resort to it.

    Lq9 swap

Just finished my LQ9 swap in an 04 Tahoe. I kept the 317 heads with just a touch of cleanup polishing. Cam, springs, rocker trunnions, MLS gaskets and half the ARP catalog. HP Tuners custom tune on 91 octane and it's kind of rowdy. I cant imagine another point of CR.

    Help me here please

I wouldn't discount bad grounds. I had a bad ground when I did my engine swap and I had all kinds of stuff going on. Stupid things like the rear wiper running all the time with the key on, and it ended up being the frame ground off the battery was bad. On an 03 I would check all the grounds.

    Engine harness plug identification

Finally got all of the wiring sorted (stupid dummy fuse in the fuse block), and the LQ9 is running. Holy crap. I don't know if the 5.3 was just that tired, but the 6.0 is night and day different. The tuner has serious concerns about the 4L60e surviving, so starting work on getting an 4L80e...

    Engine harness plug identification

Thank you for checking. I haven’t put the rad support back in yet. Hopefully it will be obvious once I do.

    Engine harness plug identification

I am going to start it on the factory flex fuel ecu and tune, but it will be headed to the dyno for proper tuning after break in.

    Engine harness plug identification

Turns out the mystery plug on the passanger side plugged into a sensor on the AC line just in front of the compressor. Engine is ready for fluids and first start up. 2004 Tahoe LQ9 with BTR "TruckNorris" cam, springs, rockers Ported 317 heads Lowered on Eibach ProKit+DJM+Spohn

    Engine harness plug identification

I think that handles the ground. I will update if I find the home for the smaller plug.

    Engine harness plug identification

I already have the ac clutch plugged in. It’s on the same branch of the harness as the ac clutch. The ground I am looking is the smaller of the two coming right off the negative battery terminal. I think it goes to the frame somewhere.

    Engine harness plug identification

Also, the smaller ground cable from the battery. Where does that go to?

2004 Tahoe LS - Street Touring Style

So this project may be dead. I had a ton of problems with the engine I bought and slowly I have just lost steam. The tahoe lost oil pressure completely a couple of weeks ago and I am just questioning whether I have the motivation to keep going. I am going to drop the oil pan soon and see if...

2004 Tahoe LS - Street Touring Style

Thanks for the feedback regarding spacers. It just seems like the Sierra wheels I have on now are set a lot more inboard than the aftermarket wheels I had previously. If I have room in the fender I would like to be as wide as possible. With that said, its going to be a small spacer if...

2004 Tahoe LS - Street Touring Style

Not a lot for updates. With all of the rain and trying to get the ranch sorted out for the summer I havent found much time to work on things. The only real update is I did secure a spot in line at Westside Machine Race Engines for my build. They had an 6.0 on the engine dyno while I was...

    Fender flares and side moulding

Seems logical. I just didnt want to be careless and then discover that everyone is looking for a set of flares. Mine are in pretty good shape if they come off easily.

    Fender flares and side moulding

I am hoping it finally gets warm enought today to tackle removing the side mouldings and fender flares. Is there any value in either of these parts? I.E. should I be careful removing them, or just go for it?

    Storage cubbies for sale

I am looking for one of the cubbys for the rear of the console (to replace useless HVAC controls), and a few of the rubber inserts for the floor console. If anyone has any of these, please PM me.

J and D were the pins I added. That matched the harnesses that I had.

2004 Tahoe LS - Street Touring Style

So far things are moving along, albeit slowly. There isn’t a lot of progress to show, as I am really just in the planning and parts gathering phases. I keep making plans, then remaking plans as I discover parts being unavailable or discontinued. I do have a few milestones to show off, so as they...

Reciever Hitch and 7 Pin relocation

Does anyone know of a hitch that would move the receiver up into the bumper, preferably to where the license plate is? I have always hated the 7 pin harness bracket, and not that I am going to lower my Tahoe I wanted to see if I could clean it up any. A roll pan would be sweet, but for now...

Suburban rear door harness in tahoe?

So.. good news and bad news. The suburban rear door harnesses will work in the tahoe, however the body harness that the door harness plugs into is not pinned for the extra two wires. This means it is not a plug and play solution. I did however go ahead and install the suburban door harnesses...
