I only had it happen once on my ‘22 Yukon Denali. The volume knob was changing ‘navigation’ volume when I was listening to the radio with no destination even set. I had to set a destination and wait for the turn by turn to speak to lower my music.
Once I power cycled the truck, it was fine. It...
Maybe it’s a dumb question, does the power outlet button control the usb ports too? The one to the left of the steering wheel. I’ve honestly never tried my usb ports (woo CarPlay and wireless charging) but I know the AC power needs that button turned on to work.
Im on 161 I think, it’s what came with the truck, and Ive always that quick audio cut out despite the source. I’d rather the audio just take another 10 seconds to load and not cut out at all. I see from your screenshot that your security update is from November ‘21? Mines still at August ‘21, I...
oooo as much as I love my Satin Steel Yukon, I'm feeling the Sterling.
I wanted a silver Yukon when looking for mine, next time I'll likely go Sterling.
Great to know!
When I eventually get off my butt and install mine to the cargo tray, I'll give my feeedback as well.
I don't move the 3rd row up and down, so surprisingly (*fingers crossed*) those mats have stood in place so I'm not going to rock that boat until those start shifting.
Bump, I was just about to make a new thread when I saw this one.
I’d love to have a drop in console for the rear seats. I don’t need captains chairs but the vast majority of Denali’s come with them now.
I found something like this but I never remember to measure the gap in the truck.
Texas...
I got my sunroof done with 3M ceramic tint a few months ago and it looks great and seems to help with the heat rejection a good bit in the GA summer heat. I got the windshield done as well with practically clear 3M film with anti glare/IR rejection which also seems to be doing it’s job.
Still haven’t tried installing yet, but here’s the link. The way I see it, if it works I won’t worry about removing the velcro from the carpeted side ever, I can just unlatch the tray if I ever needed to.

Same here, the actual 3rd row seatbacks have stayed fine in my Denali since February. The cargo mat itself hasn’t stuck more than a few days. I have to slide it and push it back into place every time I open the hatch.
I replaced the tiny Velcro circles that came with it for larger no-name...
I live in rural Georgia, gravel (mostly dirt) road and Georgia red clay suuuucks when it’s wet and muddy. With the weather tech splash guards it’s actually been a ton less muddy in the wheel wells and on the actual car. The carpeted wheel liners do clean really easily which is nice.
It’s been about 2 and a half weeks since I had the update done and I’ve remote started from key fob/iPhone App and Apple Watch app a ton of times (stupid Georgia in the mid 90s really killing me) and I’ve had no issues at all.
I played it safe after reading the initial post in the thread until...
Found this on GM Authority:
https://gmauthority.com/blog/2022/07/chevy-tahoe-and-suburban-gmc-yukon-get-customer-satisfaction-program-for-ota-battery-drain/
“General Motors has started a Customer Satisfaction Program for certain examples of the 2022 model-year Chevy Tahoe and Suburban, as well...
I still have my dad's very similar color 04 Yukon XL (Silver Birch Metallic) . I love the color of your '22 also, it was on my very short list of colors but couldn't find any at the time.
Speaking of the spot on your hood, where is it? I found a small spot on the very front of my hood by the...
I’ve been super hesitant to use the auto start on my 22 after reading the thread but the 90 degree plus Georgia days were upon us so I made the appointment with my local deal and got the BCM updated on Wednesday. I’ve used the auto start without issue from the app a few times already. Fingers...
I just had my first oil change and tire rotation done at my local dealer, which was not my purchasing dealer. Had a $0 bill.
I’ve serviced the last 4 GMCs there, didn’t purchase any there. Lack of inventory and pricing was never in their favor but service never held that against me.
there’s a whole thread about this, Someone posted a GM Bulletin about it with a possible fix via a BCM update at the dealer. I actually have mine scheduled to go in on Wednesday to have the update done.
here’s a direct link to post of the bulletin
Post in thread '2022 Wont start after remote...

just saw this posted in the GMC subreddit, apparently water is getting in...
I initially tried to defend the OEM cargo tray but….it’s terrible. Surprisingly the velcro on the seat backs seem to be OK, but the cargo tray velcro came right off the carpeting last week (After about 2 months being ok). there were just two tiny tabs there so I peeled them off the plastic tray...
Oh, I bought out of state for sure, I got mine from Arkansas and had it trucked to Georgia, it was specifically Texas dealerships that wouldn't budge for me.
Cashier's checks are usually inconsequential now since these vehicles are movers and they'll sell regardless and the dealerships would...
I tried 3 Texas dealers when I was shopping in February. All of the dealers I contacted refused to do business with out of state buyers. One said they’ve had too much fraud as of late and wouldn’t make any exceptions.
The OEM GM rear flaps were pretty ugly and seemed a lot wider than the weathertechs. I initially ordered the GM and returned them once I saw how good the weathertechs looked in comparison, especially since they also had the front flaps that worked with the power running boards.
Definitely not the ideal, but I would confirm that part number again with the service department and see if you can find from a 3rd party site. I couldn’t find that specific part number on the parts list. If the part is cheap enough I’d order and see if you can get the dealer to eat it to...
I'll try that hydro suds next time I grab more wash. You're right that the honey dew doesnt really shine, but I feel like it gives it a pretty good cleaning. I just used the Chemical Guys HD water spot remover on all my windows and windshield since those water spots were not budging with the...
…or, just put it back on the center arm rest where it used to be in the ‘14-19 Sierras. They already have a phone cutout (which is stupidly a little small for bigger phones like the iPhone pro max). They seem to want you to put your phone there anyway…There are aftermarket options that were...
