I always thought HD's only came equipped with diesel engines only, thanks for the clarification mals. So I guess any HD of the same generataion/engine will work
Are those 160amp only found on Special Service Vehicles? Thought I read somewhere, an alternator out of a HD 2500 was plug and play but with a different belt size.
So far I have gathered some info:
-resistors 25watt 3.9ohm to each shock plug (thanks to Red Rocket)
Just waiting on someone to confirm front Bilstein 4600 series front shock part#....
You do need to buy the whole assembly as one, Escalade rear glass, rear applique and third brake light. To boot I believe you still have to switch the wires in the plug to make it work...
I have a 2001 Denali XL, autoride still intact, what Bilstein part # for front shocks do I use? Also where can I get the resistors for the fronts or details of the resistors to use? My arms are sore from searching all night for these details... :(
I'm a huge fan of Flowmaster, nothing says American Muscle car/truck like Flowmaster, IMO. Im looking to get a Flowmaster part # 8425453 for my 2001 Denali XL. Hope the pipes match up (size) and out the stock exhaust tip (sleeper look) with out too much work...
Looking to upgrade/swap my 130amp alternator for a higher output unit. Cant seem to find any info. Not wanting to go aftermarket. From what I have gathered so far is, the biggest I can go is 160amp and they are found on the 2001-2006 HD's and belt replacement (bit longer belt), strait plug...
For some time now my fuse for the Power Door Locks have been blowing. Simply replaced the blown fuse with a newer one. 2-3 days later it would blow again. Anybody experience this problem? What am I looking for?
What was the wattage of those Silverstar's? The 3157 LED's I had would'nt clear the opening so I kept them in the brake light (smoked XBR's ??). Did'nt feel like pulling out the "Dremel". A buddy has it done in his Tahoe, no problems that I know of, a year ago.
Just replaced mine, but I had two to choose from, one that had the text "TOW/HAUL" or one that had some kind of symbol. So I chose the one with the text. Could someone explain this, did certain year(s)/model they go with a symbol?
For me one side didnt work (when the parking brake was released), but if I turned the headlights on (both lit) then started the truck both would work. Just waiting to send the ballast out for an exchange from DDM. I sure miss them.
