We got the cutouts installed and the engine torn down to do the LT4 pump and injectors. Also got the gauge pod installed. The pod looks better than I thought it would but I'm going to look into having a custom pod made to match the interior for a more OEM look.
I want to say I got 45k out of them with the bulk of that being commuter highway miles.
80 mile round trip commute for work.
3 or 4 1000 mile round trip road trips.
2 or 3 back alley burnouts.
I also towed a 26FT boat 4 to 5 times a season (I'm in Maryland). Avg trip was 3hrs one-way.
I've used the Parada Spec-X which is why I recommended it in your other thread. I had them on my old Lincoln Navigator. Tire size was 305/40/23. I had them mounted on 23x10 rims from the Saleen F331 Sport Truck back when Saleen was blowing out its inventory in the mid 2000's.
My Navigator...
I'll throw my 2 pennies in and suggest the Yokohama Parada Spec-X.
Agree with Randeez on the Nitto 420's. I've had both versions, the now discontinued S and the new V. I liked the S version. Wish I could still find them. The nearly new V version currently on my Escalade is noisy AF.
The...
I was trying to go back to the OEM look for the exhaust tailpipe exit (I hated the Magnaflow tip) and we ended going from this:
To this:
Neither look is really my style so I'm having the tailpipe cut flush with the bumper for a hidden tailpipe look. After that it should be time to mock up...
The long answer is that my goal with this truck from day one was to make as much power as I could with only bolt-on mods. AND to maintain daily drivability to a large extent. I had no plans to modify engine internals, etc. I probably could have stuck to the plan with a Whipple. The the twin...
I've got a BMW 3 series sedan and I absolutely swear by nitrogen with that thing. My experience with the Nitro-Fill is that I run a much more consistent psi over the course of the year even with temp changes and such. This translates into a better balanced tire with better treadwear and a...
The install is coming along.... The Twin turbo install is pretty much done at this point. We are at the stage of just making final adjustments, cleaning up wiring, and fit and finish quality control, gauge installs, etc. The custom exhaust install has started as well. Cutouts also need to be...
Hey CMoore711,
Apologize but I completely missed this post. To answer your questions:
You are correct. A local performance shop is doing the work although I have been stopping by and providing an extra set of hands (I got some mechanic skills) when my schedule allows.
Nope... The shop has...
I hope you're right on the HP numbers.
Right now I'm head of IT Operations at a privately held financial services (mortgage lending) company. For my career I've got 20+ years working as a network engineer. Formerly I did Cisco route/switch type stuff in the DOD space. I'm an old guy!
When talking with Armageddon, they told me I should expect 630hp to 640hp at the wheels with the stock exhaust on low boost (6lbs - 7lbs). There's a YouTube video with this same kit on a 2015 Esky and stock exhaust. On the dyno it made power right in that same ballpark.
I'm hoping for 700hp at...
Charge pipes and down pipes being test fit. It's TIGHT!! Also finished up the oil pan modifications and started running the oil lines. Custom catback/cutout exhaust work should be starting soon. Unfortunately, ran into a intercooler fitment issue getting past the radiator on the driver's side...
Front seat headrests from a 2016 Tahoe LTZ. Brand New. These were swapped for the DVD headrests by the dealer when I purchased the vehicle new in 2016. The Tahoe is gone. I found these in a closet while fall cleaning.
$130 for the pair. Buyer pays all shipping costs.
Apologize in advance for the lack of pics since I know the rule of thumb around here is if there are no pics then it didn't happen but....
Update... Finally dropped the Esky off at the shop this morning to start the twin turbo install. The original install date got pushed (again) because we...
I hate to bring up such a touchy subject but Tony (AKA NorcalSS) ran those on the 2016 Esky he used to own (its since been sold). If you can get Tony to respond he might give you some decent feedback on his experience with the coilovers.
Also check the "Show off your 2015-2016 lowered tahoes...
The "cold side" and turbos just showed up. I'll go through everything for inspection this evening after I'm done with work but here are a few pics I managed to take in between Teams meetings....
Enjoy!
Just a quick update....
Picking the headers and downpipes up from the ceramic coaters today. I just went with satin black... Nothing special there. Also, Armageddon shipped the remainder of the kit on a pallet over the weekend. Assuming everything arrives on time, I should be dropping...
I'm sure someone smarter than me on the subject of suspension dynamics can/will chime in and provide a bit better explanation than this but.....
I don't think the shorter endlinks will help with the rubbing issue. I think the point CMoore711 was trying make is more about suspension/swaybar...
I spent a lot of time doing research, watching YT videos, etc. 1st. The Armageddon kit seems to be made up with high quality parts. 2nd. Without getting all techie, the system seems to make pretty decent WHP and torque numbers on low boost. I've got a certain HP number in mind and after...
